Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: What Ability Do You Want?

During a long-overdue drinking session with my friend.

"Kim Min-ho. If you got sent to another world, what kind of ability would you want?"

My friend suddenly brought up isekai and superpowers out of nowhere.

"Another world? Superpowers?"

Normally, I would've asked what the hell he was talking about.

But I was pretty buzzed from the booze, so I just went along with it.

"Hmm. Depends on what kind of isekai it is, I guess."

"What if it's a healing story?"

A healing story?

That meant the cozy kind, where everything feels relaxing and comforting.

So, basing it on that vibe, I thought it over and tossed out what seemed like a solid pick.

"For a healing story... maybe the ability to buy modern items?"

I'd just read a manhwa like that not long ago.

The protagonist could travel between the modern world and the fantasy one thanks to some freak incident.

"The ability to buy modern items?"

"Yeah."

The guy would sell modern stuff in the fantasy world, rake in profits, and build bonds with people along the way.

It might sound boring at first glance, but since it'd be me actually going there, I figured that laid-back routine would hit just right.

'Plus, I like those healing stories anyway.'

I explained my reasoning as I picked the ability.

"It's a healing story, right? No major threats or anything. And with modern items? Life would be so damn convenient and comfy."

"Modern items, huh?"

For some reason—maybe I was imagining it—my friend repeated "modern items" with this meaningful look in his eyes.

"But why are you asking?"

"Can't a guy ask? Here, one more shot."

Just so you know, he was covering the tab tonight.

Since he was buying, I didn't argue and knocked it back.

Thud—

For the first time in my life, my memory went blank.

When I woke up with a killer hangover, some unfamiliar world greeted me.

"..."

After taking a good look at the strange surroundings, I couldn't hold back my grievance.

"Friend..."

You definitely said it was a 'healing story'!
