Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Ultimate Dark Attribute, The Vanished Shadow

"Could it be that he didn't leak anything?"

Jiang Xiu looked up at Dong Zi'an in front of him, shocked. He did indeed possess a second martial soul, but it wasn't being released at all.

Seeing Jiang Xiu's expression, Dong Zi'an smiled knowingly, realizing he had guessed correctly. He then tried to soften his rough voice.

"Little friend, don't be nervous. Uncle isn't a bad person. Come, let Uncle see what your second martial soul is."

Bright lights scattered, and the cold wind outside the emergency center suddenly intensified, lashing against the metal walls with a mournful howl.

"This isn't the era of the Peerless Tang Sect ten thousand years ago. A martial soul with a dark attribute shouldn't be labeled an evil soul master. I should be fine..."

Jiang Xiu reassured himself. The Federation was unified in this era, unlike the chaotic four empires of the Tang Sect era. Besides, Dong Zi'an was right in front of him; he didn't seem to have the right to refuse.

Moreover, he was currently all alone, perhaps this was an opportunity…

"Uncle, I do indeed possess a second martial soul."

Jiang Xiu made up his mind and said crisply, the Purple Emperor Annihilation Dragon martial soul slowly retracting into his body, and that extreme destructive power quietly dissipated.

He couldn't use two martial souls simultaneously yet.

"So that's how it is. Let me see what a martial soul that can coexist with the Purple Emperor Annihilation Dragon looks like."

Dong Zian's eyes showed a hint of anticipation as he stared intently at Jiang Xiu.

According to the theory of a certain master in history, the quality of the two martial souls of a twin martial soul possessor would never differ too much.

"Buzz!"

Jiang Xiu slowly released his clenched left hand, and immediately a dense dark power surged out, as if darkness had descended. In an instant, the entire spacious Soul Guidance Emergency Center seemed to fall into eternal night, pitch black, and a chilling aura gradually spread.

Dong Zian remained unmoved, continuing to stare intently at Jiang Xiu.

"Heh heh heh!"

Dark power converged like flowing water, and a jet-black figure rose beneath Jiang Xiu's feet. This figure was clad in sharp armor, tall and imposing, its entire body devoid of any color other than darkness.

The moment it fully materialized, a pair of blood-red eyes suddenly snapped open, their pupils filled with arrogance. A kingly pressure instantly swept out, arms crossed, head bowed proudly at Dong Zian.

At this moment, Jiang Xiu was also enveloped in darkness, his original purple eyes transforming into blood-red pupils, a hint of arrogance flashing in their depths. The black shadow behind him stood like a king's guard.

"This is a Shadow Body Martial Soul? A Body Martial Soul possessing extreme dark attributes?"

A flash of blue light appeared in Dong Zian's eyes. With a fluctuation of soul power, he easily neutralized the pressure, but the shock in his heart was no less significant.

On the Douluo Continent, there exists a martial soul that is both simple and powerful, and this martial soul is extremely peculiar, capable of transformation—that is the Body Martial Soul.

"But why does the Body Martial Soul possess additional attributes upon its appearance, and even those are extreme dark attributes?"

While surprised, a surge of excitement welled up in Dong Zi'an's heart.

He seemed to have struck gold!

A Soul Master with dual extreme attribute martial souls—it seemed there had never been one in history!

"Uncle, have you seen enough?"

Looking at Dong Zi'an, whose eyes were burning with desire and whose throat bobbed occasionally, Jiang Xiu smiled politely.

"Ahem, put it away. Your Shadow Martial Soul is very good, very good!"

Dong Zi'an realized he had slightly lost his composure, coughed lightly, and waved his hand. It wasn't that his composure wasn't strong enough; it was simply that the shock Jiang Xiu had given him was too intense.

He dared to say that even Yun Ming, the current strongest expert on the continent, would be moved if he were here.

Jiang Xiu's eyes flickered, and as his hand slightly clenched, the dark power receded, and the black shadow behind him vanished silently.

Jiang Xiu didn't refute Dong Zian's words, but he knew in his heart that the dark figure behind him wasn't the Shadow Martial Soul Dong Zian spoke of, but the Dark Shadow King, the ruler of the Eternal Night!

The Dark Shadow King's power lay not in its dark attributes, but in its ability to extract the shadows of the dead.

One man forming an army was the best description of the Dark Shadow King! And at this time, Jiang Xiu had already secretly set a target for shadow extraction…

"By the way, Uncle, how did you know I possess a second Martial Soul?"

Suddenly, Jiang Xiu seemed to have thought of something and asked in confusion. If Dong Zian hadn't missed it, then it must be Dong Zian's question.

"Haha, after you fainted in the Abyss Tide, you might not have noticed that your shadow was gone."

Dong Zian smiled rarely, pointing his thick finger to Jiang Xiu's side under the light.

Jiang Xiu looked in the direction Dong Zian pointed, his expression suddenly freezing. He realized that under the light, he truly had no shadow.

"Am I not human anymore?"

Jiang Xiu's forehead twitched. An idea surfaced in his mind: what is a person without a shadow?

"Don't worry, based on my guess, your shadow should have transformed into your martial soul, after all, the main martial soul is a part of oneself."

Dong Zian pondered for a moment, his eyes gleaming.

"Of course, there's another possibility: you weren't waiting for awakening at the time, but were in the midst of an awakening ceremony.

Faced with the sudden appearance of the abyss tide, in a crisis, your martial soul acted to protect its master, and since your martial soul happens to be your own shadow, it appeared and saved you through your shadow as a medium, and your shadow merged with it."

He paused, then put his hands behind his back.

"Of course, these are all guesses, after all, I wasn't by your side at the time."

But Jiang Xiu was slightly shocked after hearing this, because he was indeed awakening his martial soul at the time, and this person's wisdom was astonishing!

"Little friend, where are your parents? Uncle wants to see them."

After a moment, a glint of light flashed in Dong Zian's eyes as he asked softly, his tone somewhat urgent.

"Uncle, you may not be able to see them again."

Jiang Xiu shook his head slightly upon hearing this, a trace of sadness appearing on his handsome face.

"It's alright. Just tell me where they are, and with my abilities, I can find them within half a day."

Dong Zian waved his hand, the five gold stars on his shoulder gleaming. With his status in the Federation, finding two people was a piece of cake.

"They died in battle four years ago."

"Only two small medals came back."

As Jiang Xiu finished speaking, Dong Zian's expression suddenly froze. He opened his mouth, but couldn't say a word.

"Good boy, your parents were great, and you were great too."

He patted Jiang Xiu's shoulder and said in a deep voice.

"By the way, Uncle, my parents' two medals are still in Snow City..."

"They will be found. Uncle will help you find them. Don't be afraid."

As a soldier, Dong Zian understood this feeling even more. Looking at Jiang Xiu's small body, Dong Zian shook his head slightly.

Four years ago, Jiang Xiu was only two years old.
