Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 — Whispers Beneath The Bell

At the library, the atmosphere was chill and warm. Students were roaming about while some were reading and getting ready for their exams.

Sophia sat at the library pretending to study a textbook. She sat beside Bruno's girlfriend — The guy he was in love with.

"Hi" she said to the girl in a calm feminine tone and wave.

"Hello" the girl responded raising her head to see who it was.

"Your face looks familiar, are you Bruno's girlfriend?" Sophia asked

"Yes" The girl replied with a smile and a bossy tone that sent shivers down Sophia's spine.

With a subtle shock and fright in Sophia's tone: "Ohh, I'm Sophia" she added offering a handshake.

"I'm Benita" the girl added with a handshake.

Few minutes later, Sophia left for the football field.

At the field, everyone were playing. Students were on break. Some playing football. While some were cheering them.

Sophia sat beside her friend Linda. They were discussing about her meeting with Benita—Bruno's girlfriend.

Just as the match began, Aira stepped in. She felt something strange. Not fear. Not grief. But something supernatural beneath human understanding.

She suddenly felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen. She screamed and lost consciousness.

"Aira..." "Aira...", she knew she had voices echo her name but she already was in the other side of the world—where demons possessed powers beyond measure.

When Aira regained consciousness, she went to the riverside in their school. She was reflecting on all that has been happening, but she suddenly had a feeling which told her that one of her classmates who also possessed supernatural powers already embarked on a journey to the other world. He had to act. He had to speak. Just so things doesn't get spoilt.

Aira gave sharply turned. It was Sophia. She was upto something.

Sophia possessed supernatural powers. She was a witch. She immediately took the form of George— a junior student who was reading a novel.

Sophia — who now had the form of George stepped back and immediately ran to the a place only she knew about.

Aira didn't hesitate on chasing after him. She needed to get to root of it all. But Aira saw something that caught her attention— it kept her worrying who he truly was. It was Charlie.

Charlie was a former classmate in Aira's school. He was Ella's boyfriend before he died from a car accident on his way to school one fateful morning.

Ella was standing with Charlie. She seemed to be in a romantic conversation with him which left her smiling at him.

At that point, Aira's curiosity has risen.

"I'm looking for ways for us to be together forever" Charlie told Ella.

"So, how long?" She asked.

"Trust me, I'm working on it" Charlie added.

"Are you sure...?" Ella asked covering her face in shyness.

"Definitely." Charlie said.

As Aira was trying to approach them with a curious face. But then they walked away laughing.

She wanted to know who he was. Who Ella truly is.

Wait. What's going on? Is that Charlie? She asked herself pointing at Charlie as he walked away. But Charlie is dead. She added with shock.

Before she could blink. Charlie disappeared. It said it all. The curiosity. The strange happenings. Ella's strange and weird lifestyle.

Aira knew the school was upto something strange.

Just then Aira saw a vision where she traced George using her supernatural powers to the restroom where Sophia was about using him to execute her plans against Benita—who she believed took what was rightly hers.

When she arrived there. She was speechless. She saw George drag Benita into the restroom and raped her. She couldn't do anything to save the situation because her powers wasn't meant for that for now. She must not misuse her powers—else it is withdrew from her by her maker.
