Chapter 89 - Chapter 89 I, the Mage, am very strong.

Chapter 89 I, the Mage, am very strong.

At first, Finney Hellseg didn't recognize the opponent as Bronsky before his Abomination mutation. It wasn't until he saw the extraordinary speed that he realized.

However, he didn't panic. A mere replica of Captain America's serum was nothing compared to Bronsky; as long as he didn't mutate into an Abomination, he felt he could at most go toe-to-toe with Captain America.

Finney was already aiming to be compared to Captain Marvel—a whole different level!

Facing the rapidly charging Bronsky, Finney didn't retreat. Instead, he met him head-on, their fists colliding with a muffled thud, sending both flying backward.

This situation was somewhat unexpected for Finney. After so much growth, while 'Possessed by Evil' hadn't evolved any special abilities, his strength, agility, and perception had steadily increased.

Especially in terms of strength, Finney at full power could even suppress Tony's Iron Man suit, but their clash of power just now was evenly matched.

Bronsky's strength far exceeded Finney's expectations!

Forces are reciprocal, and the powerful collision subjected both men's arms to tremendous force. Finney, protected by his 'Possessed by Evil,' wasn't significantly affected.

Bronsky's wrist, however, was twisted at a bizarre angle, looking somewhat eerie.

But then, Bronsky forcefully twisted his injured wrist back to normal with his other hand, and in the next second, it was back to normal, causing Finney's expression to change.

  This regenerative ability was terrifying!

Because there was still some Banner blood left to process in the lab, Finney was worried about potential accidents from fighting there, so he decided to get Bronsky out first. He

immediately took the initiative and charged towards him.

Bronsky, also fueled by his earlier punch, grinned when he saw Finney charging and met him head-on, his madness becoming increasingly evident.

  "Bang!"

The two men's powerful strength caused chaos in the lab. Bronsky's agile movements made him difficult to deal with, especially his rich combat experience, which made him particularly troublesome.

Left with no other option, Finney feigned a retreat, luring Bronsky towards the window.

Then, seizing the opportunity, he unleashed a 'Burst Magic' that sent him sprawling downstairs. He quickly followed, confident that given Bronsky's terrifying regenerative abilities, this damage shouldn't pose a significant threat.

Sure enough, downstairs, Bronsky was merely covered in dust and grime, his clothes slightly torn, but he bore no wounds, or if he had, they had healed.

Facing this seemingly indestructible enemy, Finney still felt a headache coming on. He hadn't expected Bronsky to possess such strength even without transforming into an Abomination.

However, Finney only found him troublesome; he didn't believe he couldn't defeat Bronsky. In fact, he wanted to test the effects of his skills on Bronsky's regenerative abilities.

The battle continued. Bronsky was now gradually showing the side effects of his mutation. His bones were becoming increasingly grotesque, his hair seemed to be falling out, and his entire body was beginning to resemble a human.

Simultaneously, his strength was increasing wildly; indeed, there were limits to being human.

Seeing this, Finney frowned deeply. In the dead of night, Bronsky looked like a demon, sending chills down one's spine.

"Hmph, you audacious fiend, I can tell you're not human at first glance. Show your true form!"

Finney bolstered his courage, while simultaneously trying to modify the incantation of his 'Explosion Magic' to test its power.

"Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon, World Honored Ksitigarbha, Prajna Buddhas, Prajna Paramita!"

Reciting the long-unspoken Chinese, Finney felt a surge of nostalgia. This was a spell he remembered vividly, vaguely recalling it as a technique specifically for dealing with demons.

Perhaps it was psychological, but Finney felt that this 'Explosion Magic' inflicted exceptionally high damage on Bronsky.

However, Bronsky's powerful regenerative abilities allowed him to pull through. He was now mostly naked, his hair gone, his bones exposed, each one distinct, even piercing his skin and turning into bone spurs.

Especially his spine, the grayish-white bones completely exposed, mutated into a terrifying weapon resembling a saber-toothed dragon.

Aside from being a few sizes smaller, he already seemed somewhat repulsive.

  "I'm going to kill you!"

Driven even more insane by the pain, Bronsky grew increasingly powerful as he became uglier.

Just as Finney was about to use an enhanced version of the 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique'—the 'Explosion Magic'—to end the battle, a roar suddenly erupted, followed by a green figure descending from the sky and slamming Bronsky to the ground.

"Damn it!"      Finney was stunned. He'd been racking up kills for so long, only to be defeated by Hulk today. He cursed under his breath and quickly checked his experience bar, only to find that no experience had been gained.

This meant the battle might not be over yet. Finney hurriedly flew to Hulk's side to check on the situation.

  "Mage, friend!"

Hulk gave Finney an awkward smile upon seeing him, but he clearly remembered him.

  "Hulk, come over here."

Finney quickly beckoned Hulk over. Although Bronsky hadn't become an Abomination yet, he was still quite powerful, and Hulk had just gone through a major battle that afternoon, so he didn't know how strong he was now.

Most importantly, he didn't want to lose experience. If he couldn't handle Bronsky, he could always have Hulk step in later.

Just as Hulk showed a puzzled expression, he was suddenly sent flying. Bronsky, who had been smashed into the crater, jumped out, roared, and shouted,

  "I'm the strongest!"

Enraged by the kick, Hulk got up and was about to charge at Bronsky when Finney quickly flew in front of him and stopped him, saying, "Leave him to me!"

Hulk stopped, looking puzzled, and said, "Danger, mage, small, Hulk, big!"

  "..."

Finney was speechless for a moment, then corrected him, "Mage, big, and strong!"

The simple-minded Hulk obviously didn't understand the meaning of humility on this issue, and simply shook his head, even flexing his arm muscles as if to show off, saying, "Hulk, strong, mage, weak!" Finney clenched his fist.

If he wasn't worried that he really couldn't beat Hulk in strength, he would have liked to arm wrestle to prove himself. However, he was a mage, and his strength points were not high to begin with; his spirit points were his main attribute.

  "Watch closely!"

Finney roared. Although his anger didn't create a buff like Hulk's, it was enough to unleash a finishing move!

Finney turned to look at Bronsky, who was charging towards them. Floating in mid-air, he cleared his mind, extended one palm, and chanted, "Double the gravity around the target!"

Bronsky, who was charging at high speed, suddenly felt his steps falter and almost fell, his pace slowing instantly.

Finney continued, "Create a spherical oxygen zone with a radius of two meters around the target, increasing its concentration tenfold!"

Bronsky felt his breathing become exceptionally smooth.

"Blacker than black, the deepest darkness,"

  "Merge with my crimson!"

"The moment of awakening has arrived."

"Fall into the realm of infallibility,"

  "Form the formless distortion."

  "Explosion!"

In the pitch-black night, a crimson magic circle shone, and a pillar of fire descended from the sky, striking the still-unresponsive Bronsky with a fierce, all-consuming force.

"I, a mage, am very strong!"

Finney turned to look at Hulk, a proud expression on his face.

Although the 'Explosion Magic' and 'Golden Grand Evolution Technique' almost exhausted him, seeing Hulk's surprised yet approving expression made it all worthwhile.
