Nora's POV
James brushes dust from an old wooden chair and spins it around, settling down beside Gideon and me at the abandoned breakfast table. The previous owners left this furniture behind, and now it serves as our makeshift war council.
"Our safest move is leaving the hunters here while we return to my place," I announce, my voice cutting through the stale air. "We need proper supplies to take down that banshee, plus something strong enough to trap the wendigo long enough for James to carve out its heart."
Gideon's expression darkens. "And somehow figure out how to seal that damn crack in the ground."
I give a sharp nod. "Once we reach the house, someone needs to astral project straight to the Academy. The coven has to know what we're dealing with. Maybe someone there has answers, or we can at least cast a protective circle around this entire area to prevent more creatures from crawling out."
