Chapter 12 - Chapter:The Windsword of Lvandal

Jimmy and his mother goes to Lvandal to meet Jimmy's Grandpa Jack - The journey to Lvandal took three days.

Unlike the bustling capital, Lvandal was calm—vast plains, cold winds, and a fortress-like estate standing proudly at the edge of the land. This was not a place of luxury.

It was a place of strength.

At its center stood a man whose name alone carried weight—

Jack Windsword.

Landlord of Lvandal.

A Great Swordsman.

And Jimmy Welton's grandfather.

Jimmy arrived holding his mother's hand.

The gates of the estate opened slowly.

Soldiers stood straight, their respect evident not through words, but through silence. At the far end of the courtyard stood an old man, tall even with age, his back straight like a blade never bent.

White hair.

Scarred face.

Eyes sharp as steel.

Jack Windsword.

He stared.

Then laughed.

A deep, rough laugh that echoed through the yard.

"So this is my grandson," he said.

Jimmy looked up at him.

This man felt different.

Like a mountain.

Jack walked forward and crouched, bringing himself eye-level with the child.

"Oh, my life…" he said softly, a hint of regret slipping through his hardened voice. "I was too busy. Five years… and this is our first meeting."

He placed a large hand on Jimmy's head.

"Sorry, Jimmy."

Jimmy blinked.

Then smiled.

"It's okay, Grandpa," he said. "I came now."

Jack froze.

Then his laugh returned—louder than before.

"Hahaha! Good! Very good!"

Jimmy's mother stepped forward, her expression heavy.

"Father…" she said quietly. "We're sorry we couldn't stay with you during those years. Kevin told me your curse hasn't recovered. These five years must have been painful."

She lowered her head.

"I was busy… Jimmy was just born."

Jack waved his hand dismissively.

"Enough," he said. "What's past is past."

He looked at Jimmy again.

"Let me talk with my grandchild."

The day passed peacefully.

Jack showed Jimmy the training grounds where soldiers practiced relentlessly. He showed him old swords mounted on walls—each with a story.

"This blade cut through a beast king," Jack said.

"That one ended a rebellion."

Jimmy listened quietly.

Later, they sat together in the courtyard, warm tea between them.

"So," Jack said, eyes sharp but kind, "do you like swords?"

Jimmy nodded.

"Yes."

Jack smiled.

"Good. Windswords don't fear blades."

He gently tapped Jimmy's chest.

"Your roots are strong."

That night, laughter filled the halls of the estate.

Jimmy ate with his grandfather, listened to stories of battles long past, and even fell asleep on Jack's shoulder—something no one had seen in many years.

Jack looked down at the sleeping boy.

"…So warm," he murmured.

The curse still lingered.

The pain had not vanished.

But for the first time in five years—

Jack Windsword slept peacefully.
