"What do you mean you're not hungry Inv?" I ask Inv in confusion. He should definitely be hungry since a new cycle started. Is there something I'm missing here?
"W-wel… i am hungry bu als noat??? I duno hoaw tu explan…" Inv says back slightly tilting his head in confusion as well.
'Hungry and not hungry? What the hell does he…'

'Wait a sec… the rocks!' I think to myself. I remember him swallowing 2 rocks and storing them in his stomach pouch(es?). I never did see him spit them back out afterwards.
"That because you still have those 2 rocks stored in your stomach pouch Inv" I explain while walking towards him.
Stopping in front of him I reach both of my paws out.
"I'll hold onto the egg bomb while you spit them out" Telling Inv this i see him open his eyes wide.
"O-oh! Dat wight! I forgor bout dat!" While saying this Inv untucks the egg bomb and carefully gives it to me with both paws.
"B-b carful… et bery delecat…" Inv tells me in concern. I can also see a tiny bit of purple flare on his skin before giving it to me.
"I got it Inv, I'll be careful" I say back in total understanding. Starting a new cycle with Inv just to get the both of us killed by an egg bomb would be the stupidest thing I would ever do.
Giving me a small nod, Inv gently drops the egg bomb onto my paws.
Wow… it's really warm… the egg bomb Inv gave to me last cycle was also warm, but this one is much warmer… probably because it's newly made?
"Su… hoaw du i spet da wicks ou Joey??" Inv asks me which pulls me out of my thoughts wondering about the egg bomb.
"Well…" I stop before I continue. I'm not really sure how to explain how to throw something up from the stomach pouch. It took me many cycles just to figure out how to do it myself without anything going wrong. If you try to throw up something like a rock wrong, it could get stuck in your throat and suffocate you to death… I would know because I'm the idiot that did it once before.

Or was I trying to swallow it? Can't really remember with all the choking going on at the time…
"Joey?" Hearing Inv call my name I push these thoughts to the back of my head. There's no time to be thinking about that! Now how do I explain this to Inv…
'Wait he already spit up an egg bomb, right? So, it should probably already be easy for him to spit out a rock'
"Do what you did before Inv, when you spit out the egg bomb" I simply say.
"Oh! U-uh ok?" Inv responds back and gets on all 4's… with his tail right in front of me…
'How do I keep finding myself in situations like these? I swear he turned around on purpose…'
Trying my best to ignore the thick wagging tail in front of me I walk around to Invs side… and see him directly facing the wall.
"Inv… you're facing the wrong way…" I say while holding the egg bomb close to me.

After a moment of silence Inv starts turning around, now facing away from the wall.
"I-i new dat…" I hear Inv mutter out.
…
"Su wut I du noaw?" Inv turns his head towards me and asks.
"Uhh… good question…" I respond back. I thought he would be able to figure it out himself, but I guess not…
"Just… do what you would do while spitting out an egg but instead of an egg just think… of a rock instead?" I say to him not really sure if what I'm saying is helpful at all.
Tilting his head, Inv's face looks like he's thinking right now… yup, definitely thinking. I can see smoke coming out of his ears again.
"Inv don't think too hard, I can see smoke coming out of your ears…" I finally point out to Inv. The last 2 times I didn't say anything, but I might as well say something now. Don't want his brain turning to mush…
"Nu nu nu! I almos gat et!" Inv says back while more smoke comes out of his ears which slightly concerns me. I really hope that isn't serious…
"Aha! I se noaw!" Inv says in triumph.

Then immediately starts retching…
'Well… at least no more smoke?' Trying to think of the positive of Inv's enlightenment on how to spit a rock out I turn my attention to the egg bomb since… I don't really want to see Inv throw up stuff even more. The egg bomb is one thing but if I keep on watching him throw stuff up… I think I'm gonna throw up myself.
Hearing heaving sounds in the background I look closely at the egg bomb. I never did get a good look at it last cycle since I… uh… immediately swallowed it.
Immediately I notice something that catches my interest. This egg bomb looks… pretty different than what I remember one looking like? If I remember correctly, it would have something like a red circle with a white diagonal line going through it on the center of the egg. But… this looks nothing like that.
It looks just like… his eyes? I can't really tell what it looks like since it just looks like a bunch of colors constantly shifting on the surface of the egg. like Inv's eyes, it's almost… mesmerizing in a way… I can also feel warmth radiating from it. Kinda like a lantern… this would've been nice to have for the past several thousand cycles. Sleeping in a shelter by yourself does get pretty col-

I jump up in surprise by the sudden noise and almost drop the egg bomb. Clutching the egg bomb close to my chest I turn towards Inv, hearing my heartbeat in my ears from almost getting the both of us killed.
"Loak Joey!! I spi et ou!!!" Inv turns to me and says in a happy voice.
"T-that's good Inv, now jus-
'What the fuck?' I stop talking and think to myself.
Looking at the other side of the shelter, I see one of the rocks Inv swallowed last cycle laying on the ground, but this isn't what made me stop talking… a little bit above the rock I see a small mark… it looks like the metal around the mark looks a bit bent? How hard did he spit out the rock for that to happen?!

A/N: in this story instead of what an egg bomb would usually look like, I changed it to where the symbol on the egg looks exactly like Inv's eyes. So it would just be a bunch of swirling colors, like a rainbow!
