Slowly coming back to consciousness, I feel a wave of nausea overcome me.
I've never been hit with so much nausea before until now… did the egg bomb seriously cause this? I knew the game would show everything being stunned in its radius but this fucking sucks!
Trying to push away this nausea I attempt to open my eyes.
When I open my eyes, my vision is met with swirling blue fur. A nice vision I must say. Trying to move I find myself pinned under something.
Knowing that I'm still in the narrow tunnel I can only guess I'm pinned under Inv right now…

'OK, this might be a good way to go' thinking this to myself I start feeling around me or attempt to at least to try to get an idea what exact part of Inv is pinning me down.
'Fur, fur, fluff. Yeah, I can't tell' feeling around I just feel Inv's fluff all around.
Before I can wonder why Inv hasn't started moving yet I can feel Inv start to move.
"I-Inv? Are you ok?" I say aloud in a muffled voice.
Feeling Inv come to a halt, I can only assume he did hear me.

"Y-ye im fin… i-il ge of noaw…" I hear Inv say behind all the fluff that is burying me.
Feeling Inv start to move I can finally feel Inv start to get off of me. Seeing the first bit of light I finally get a look at what was pinning me down.

Seeing Inv carefully pick his legs and thick tail up off of my face I see him hurriedly scramble out of the hole of the tunnel that has now entered my vision…

'Wait… hold on, I was in heaven, and I didn't even know it?' I stare flabbergasted upwards out of the hole.

Does that mean he was sitting on my face?! No! Come back! I didn't get to enjoy the moment! Fuck!
In complete distraught from not being able to properly experience the moment, I see Inv's face appear over the entrance of the exit.
"R-r u o-ok?" Inv stutters to me, his face completely red while asking.
No. No, I am not ok.
"Yeah, I'm fine…" I finally pick myself up letting out a big sigh and say this to him.
It's time I actually focus on why we're here instead of my fantasies. We've been lucky so far nothing has jumped us during these moments, and I don't want to push my luck any further.
Crawling out of the exit I'm finally free from the narrow space and can stand on my own 2 feet.
Looking around I see we're on a pretty wide metal platform. Probably the most open space I've seen in this region so far!
Looking further up ahead where the wall is I see the victim of Inv's egg bomb. The big clump of dead rot, unmoving up ahead. I remember that these things should be worth about 5 pips!
Turning my head towards Inv, I see him nervously darting his eyes in random places while trying to look at me. His entire body shining a light red.
Seeing his embarrassment, I can feel myself grow a little smug.
"What's the matter Inv?" I ask him.
"N-notin! Noting… is wong" Inv answers back to me. Noticing how he doesn't want to exactly talk about what just happened I decide to back off.
Don't want to make him uncomfortable with stuff like that. Even if it's something I would literally accept in a heartbeat.
Putting 'Inv sitting on my face' on my list of things that I want Inv to do to me I focus back on our survival.
"Alright Inv, start eating the rot" I say while pointing towards the dead DLL.
"W-w-wa?? Y??" Inv's ears completely flop down as he says this.
Looking at him, I feel a bit confused. He's able to eat it, right?
"You can eat those, right?"
With a small grimace on his face Inv looks at the DLL.
"Y-ye bu… dere weally gwoss…" Inv quietly whines to me. His skin starting to turn slightly… brown? OK, that's a new one. Must mean disgust or something close to that.
I don't blame Inv for acting like this. I was only thinking about how many pips it could give. Not what it would taste like. But… Can we really afford to be picky right now?
Looking at the sad faced Inv that doesn't want to eat the rot I can't bring myself to argue with him. Forcing him to eat the rot would be cruel.
Letting out a small sigh I respond back to Inv.
"OK Inv… you don't have to eat it… but! If we can't find enough food, we're coming back here and you're going to eat it then, alright?" I come to a compromise with Inv.
"A-awight! We go lok fo oter fuds!" Invs ears perk back up with his smile instantly returning while responding back to me.
"OK then let's start climbi-

Going still from the distant sound I snap my head upwards towards the clouds.

Again, I can hear the sound multiple times in succession getting closer to us. Knowing what this means I immediately get ready. Clenching both rocks in my paws I turn to Inv.
Seeing Inv already looking at me with a serious face I can tell he already knows as well. Giving him a slight nod I look back up. And just in time to.

zooming through the air from over one of the metal platforms high above us, I see 2 cyan lizards falling down at immense speeds!
During mid fall one of the lizard's heads snaps right towards us.
HISSSS*
WHOOSH*
WHOOSH*
Both the lizards immediately change their trajectory right towards us!
