Chapter 1 - Prologue: The Feeling of Death.

How does the saying go? If you love a character, cosplay them! If you can't even do that, what are you talking about love for? And so, a lucky Shiki Fan crossed over after finishing her cosplay of Elder Sister Shiki at an Anime Convention.

It was a particularly simple and unadorned way to cross over: she just went to buy a cup of milk tea, and then she crossed over.

"Uh..."

Shiki stared blankly at the bouncing Hilichurls in the distance, still holding the freshly made milk tea in her hand.

'What the heck is this? The same crossing method as 486?'

"Ya!"

Three dancing Hilichurls discovered Shiki. One of the Hilichurls, holding a torch, even used Hinokami Kagura on her.

"Damn it!"

Shiki cursed under her breath, dropped the milk tea, and ran. She no longer cared that running in a kimono was unseemly; survival was paramount.

Heaven knows she was just an ordinary person. What could she use to fight three Hilichurls empty-handed?

The Seventh Set of National Calisthenics?

As for the Kujikanesada she used for the cosplay, she had left it with her good friend and designated Helper—it hadn't been brought over at all!

"Help!"

Shiki shouted for help as she ran. She didn't know if the game mechanics couldn't be transferred to the real world, or if these three Hilichurls were just insane, but they were still chasing her even after she had run three or four hundred meters.

After running about another two hundred meters, Shiki noticed that the Hilichurls chasing her were gone. Only then did she finally breathe a sigh of relief.

"Phew..."

"Oh my god, I almost bit the dust."

'No, no, I need to make a plan quickly. I should try to find a town or village.' Shiki thought this, and then saw a Naku Weed Tree nearby.

A purple fruit resembling a papaya. As a Level 57 veteran player who farmed materials daily since the game launched, she recognized it immediately.

'So the country I'm in now is Inazuma? What year is it? Has the Traveler arrived?'

Shiki casually picked a lavender melon and put it in her mouth; the running had genuinely made her hungry.

I have to say, the fruit tasted decent —crunchy and sweet.

After walking for a while, Shiki found a country road. It seemed her luck wasn't bad; following this road should lead her to people.

Games still couldn't compare to reality. The buildings and areas in the game were scaled down. Judging by the Hilichurls' territorial concept just now, the real Teyvat was probably tens or hundreds of times larger than the game world.

In the game, Hilichurls usually lose aggro after about forty or fifty meters, but she had to run over five hundred meters just now to shake them off.

Perhaps the real area was far greater than that number. In the game, it didn't take the Traveler long to run from Mondstadt City to Liyue Harbor, but in the storyline, some caravans took ten days or half a month.

Chew chew.

Chewing on the lavender melon while walking along the country road, she soon saw a fox statue.

'A fox statue? Only Narukami Island has these statues. Combined with this country road, is the nearest village Konda Village?'

Shiki made a rough judgment of her location based on her surroundings. If it was Konda Village, she should be able to find a place to stay for the night, right?

Maybe?

After walking for about another half hour, Shiki finally encountered someone, but... "I caught a big one this time!"

A Kairagi emerged from behind a tree. Although it was their first meeting, those familiar words made Shiki's liver ache.

The Kairagi exclaimed that his luck was good today. He seemed to have run into a Young Miss from the city. Look at that face, that figure, and that seemingly expensive kimono. It looked like he could live comfortably for a while after this job.

'Ahhh! Has my luck been infected by Bennett?'

Shiki appeared calm on the surface, but her heart was screaming wildly. Why did she keep encountering such ridiculous things?

"Hey, little girl, hurry up and hand over the Mora and valuables you have, or I can't guarantee that something bad won't happen."

The Kairagi walked toward her step by step, holding his sword. Hearing this, Shiki subconsciously handed out the lavender melon.

Kairagi: ... "This is my most valuable item. Please let me go, okay?" Shiki said pitifully. The most expensive things she owned, besides her clothes, was her phone.

But she needed her clothes, and these people wouldn't recognize the phone. It seemed the only thing she had that could be sold for money was this lavender melon she was using as emergency rations.

"Are you messing with me? A Young Miss like you has no money?"

"No, big brother, I really don't have any money! Could you please go find someone else? Besides, look at me, where would I even keep Mora?"

As Shiki spoke, she shook her long sleeves. The light, fluttering feeling indicated they were definitely empty.

"Uh... you really don't have any?"

"Really none. So, big brother, can you let me go?" Shiki blinked her large eyes, making the Kairagi unable to handle it.

"Fine, consider me unlucky today. Get lost, before I change my mind."

The Kairagi impatiently waved his hand. What kind of situation was this? She clearly looked like a Young Miss, yet she had no money on her at all. Utterly unlucky.

"Thank you, big brother, goodbye!"

Seeing this, Shiki vanished in a flash. Was she supposed to wait for the guy to change his mind and stab her?

Shiki ran breathlessly to a Naku Weed Tree. Before she could catch her breath, an arrow pierced her chest.

"Ah!"

'It hurts so much!'

After a miserable scream, Shiki slumped weakly to the ground. The arrow was deeply embedded, and trying to pull it out would only cause massive bleeding and hasten her death.

"Hit!" said a Treasure Hoarder holding a crossbow after hearing the scream.

"What's the rush? She's like this; is she going to run away?" said a Treasure Hoarder holding a shovel.

"Delay breeds trouble. Don't let her die before we get the valuables out," said the crossbow Treasure Hoarder.

"Fine, fine, we'll do it your way." The shovel Treasure Hoarder reluctantly agreed, then quickly ran up to the girl.

"Hey, hand over everything valuable you have!"

"I really don't have anything..."

Shiki felt extremely wronged. She had only gone to the Anime Convention to cosplay her favorite character; why did she have to encounter something like this?

"Listen here, you little brat, don't be ungrateful!" the shovel Treasure Hoarder said fiercely, but the latter only responded with a miserable laugh.

"You refuse the toast and insist on the penalty drink!"

The shovel Treasure Hoarder kicked the girl in the abdomen. Under the heavy blow, Shiki's Vision went black, and she felt as if she were sinking into a cold lake, gradually descending as her life slipped away.
