Jamie dragged himself out of the lecture hall like a man leaving a battlefield. All he wanted was to get home, throw himself on his bed, and sleep. But he had assignments, loads of them, not to even talk about his ongoing project.
He groaned and continued walking toward the parking lot, eyes glued to his phone as he reread the list of things he still had to do.
Then a sudden honk pierced through the air.
The sound exploded right beside him.
Jamie jumped so hard his phone nearly flew out of his hand.
"Jesus fuck!" He caught it just in time, glaring viciously at the black, sleek car that had pulled up next to him. "Are you insane?!"
The tinted window slid down slowly and Jamie's glare sharpened.
When the car door opened and the driver stepped out, Jamie almost couldn't believe his eyes.
Alex. Of all people, it had to be Alex. For a moment, Jamie wondered what this man was doing here. He looked too put together as usual. Crisp suit and calm face.
"Can we talk, James?"
