And as they stepped out of the mall into the evening air, Jamie finally said quietly,
"You don't have to walk me to my car."
"Sweetheart I knew I was a bit too much over there, I'm sorry. But hey, you can't blame me, that guy was literally giving you heart eyes." Jett defended.
"Heart eyes." Jamie repeated, giving him a pointed look.
"Baby you know what that means."
Jamie senses sputtered for a second. It was the first time Jett ever called him that, and it seemed like he didn't even notice what he just did.
"So what? You were jealous?" Jamie asked, resuming his walk to his car.
"As a matter of fact, yes." Jett confirmed and Jamie stopped to look at him again.
"You're not my boyfriend."
"You know damn well I want to be."
Jamie blinked at him, he knew Jett wanted to date him, but he wasn't expecting a honest, straight forward answer.
"You say things like that so easily." Jamie muttered, turning back toward the parking lot.
Jett followed. "Because they're true."
