Chapter 4 - The Origin of Gorra 2

The ancient era was marked by mismanagement and widespread chaos. This period culminated in the wrathful intervention of the god of Thunder, signaling the end of the era and the dawn of a new age.

Mighty Bronte became angered by the immaturity of his peers, which resulted in chaos throughout the world.

As the four deities continued to engage in mischief and sow chaos, Mighty Bronte, the god of Thunder, appeared to confront them.

"Cease this foolishness. Observe the state of the world; it is in disarray. You are tormenting mortals merely for your own amusement. I will not tolerate this behavior any longer."

"You are a disgrace to the name of god. We are meant to be noble beings, almighty in this world, not villains to our own creation." Bronte delivered these stern words to his peers with anger.

"This is why I opposed the creation of this world from the outset, yet all of you insisted, claiming it would be enjoyable. Is this what you consider enjoyment?" Bronte asked, his tone marked by disappointment.

All the deities shivered with fear and remained silent after Bronte's reprimand.

"And you, Hydro, you have been a terrible deity since the beginning, but causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of mortals in a single disaster is beyond acceptable. You have created countless catastrophes, including floods and tsunamis," Bronte said directly to Hydro.

Hydro, displeased by Bronte's reprimand, responded with a raised voice.

"What does it matter? We are the gods of this world. We created it, and therefore possess the right to act as we wish," Hydro declared to Bronte, his expression marked by pride.

Bronte responded swiftly.

"The right to act as we wish? Then I could erase you from this realm as I wish, correct?" Bronte addressed Hydro, his expression challenging.

The other gods were shocked and frightened by Bronte's statement, fully aware that he was the most powerful among them and never spoke in jest.

"What do you mean, erase me?" Hydro replied, his face reflecting a mixture of anxiety, fear, and disbelief.

"I mean precisely what I say. Erase!" Bronte stated coldly to Hydro.

Bronte continued to radiate an immense yellow-and-gold aura, while thunder rumbled in the distance and the sky gradually changed color.

Hydro, realizing that Bronte's power extended even over his fellow deities, became fearful for his existence and responded quickly.

"I am sorry, please do not erase me from this realm. I will not repeat my actions," Hydro pleaded, noticing the danger Bronte posed.

"I cannot simply trust your word. Swear an oath upon your deity's name," Bronte demanded after hearing Hydro's plea.

"I, the mighty Hydro, as the god of water, will not cause any further disasters in this world," Hydro declared, his expression revealing both resentment and embarrassment.

After reprimanding the deities and reflecting on their actions, Bronte announced his intention to end the world permanently, ensuring that mortals would no longer suffer as a result of the four gods' immaturity.

However, the other gods simultaneously protested, expressing their desire to preserve the world.

"Bronte, we all worked hard to build this world from nothing. You cannot simply end it," the four gods pleaded.

Bronte responded immediately.

"If you care for it so much, why are you destroying it and causing mortals to suffer?" Bronte shouted at them in anger.

The gods became silent after Bronte's outburst until Petra, the foundation of the world's creation, spoke.

"What if we preserve the world but transform it? Let us create a new era in which everyone possesses power and lives happily without our intervention. As gods, we could bless these people once every hundred years."

"That is a brilliant idea, Petra," Pyra exclaimed.

"Please, we promise never to repeat these immature actions and will restrain ourselves," Anemo said softly to Bronte.

After listening to their pleas and reflecting, Bronte ultimately made his decision regarding the fate of the world.

"Very well, we will preserve this world and implement Petra's idea. However, if any further mischief occurs, I will erase this world and all four of you from this realm permanently," Bronte warned them firmly after agreeing to preserve the world.

Although the four deities were relieved that Bronte chose not to end the world, they remained fearful in light of his stern warning.

Following the great conflict among the gods, the New Era of Gorra began. Chaos caused by the four gods distinguished the preceding ancient era.
