As the hours swept away, the 'joyous' betrothal was to be started. He still pondered the endless possibilities of where Lou's thoughts could have led them. Neither of them had supposedly left the grand Empire, Larion nevertheless left the kingdom walls. Sudden wars with Pomepai, really didn't give them an opportunity to.
Damien attired himself in a black suit, noticeably remarking himself as a commoner. The knight decided to arrive early as he wasn't required to do anything. It was only until he looked over did he notice the Emperor glaring over at him.
The castle hall was grander than expected. It wasn't Damiens first time attending, he was a regular guest on Lou's behalf. The tables were packed with delicacies, as flowers were freshly stocked in each vase. It wasn't before the entire ball began; guests piling up the vestibule.
Escaping from the crowd, resting among a stone bench, Caspian had found that Lou was alone, trying to hide from the crowd. He gazed upon her,
she was styled beautifully like always for sure.
Lou wore a flamboyant blue dress with highlights of white, matching the newly bought jewellery that lay dangling on her ears.
Caspian wasn't on duty, however as usual whenever he had nothing to attend to, he squandered (breaker??), he tended to roam the castle attired in his glamourous armour.
"Ahh, now Caspian I thought you out of all people would be able to determine the difference between a betrothal and a battle. Why come dressed as such" Lou snickered with her hand pressed elegantly against her face.
Embarrassed, "Well I didn't really expect to find you free from all your beloved fans.." he rubbed his head awkwardly.
"Well here I am. Aren't I?" She huffed.
"Please sit, I insist."
"I see, well perhaps I shall."
Caspian accepted, attempting to show his mighty side, "May I ask Lou, i mean, m'lady, but what is the star of the show doing? I mean sulking in the corner isn't going to get you a husband."
"Oh you shush!" Lady Louise stated looking down accordingly , "I am not sulking!"
"Sure." he muttered amused by her reaction, he stared at her with an unbelieving expression.
She sighed, "If I must, Of course i never asked for this party. My father insisted 'to make better allies' , I mean he might as well sell me off to some strong kingdom. Besides, i'd rather spend the rest of these nefarious days with you by my side."
Lou then without hesitation leant upon his arm flustering them both on the spot, "Would you uh. Care to joi-"
..
Without a delay, an average sized silhouette then approached them.
She suddenly shot up as he questioned "And what might you be doing here, lady Louise?"
"Lord Albrecht, I didn't expect to see you here," she passed a sly look to Caspian. "Please forgive my rudeness, perhaps we could get a drink together and catch up?"
"For the hostess of this event, I wouldn't mind." he nodded with respect turning his body towards Caspian who was seen to be having a meltdown
"And you, dear boy. What may you be doing here sitting with the glory of Larion?!"
Caspian was in shock of such disrespect. A boy of his age just referred to him as he was an equal to the pebbles that he was crushing beneath his very feet.
Lord Gabriel Albrecht was the Duke of Elusivia, one of the best imperial kingdoms who would no doubt have a first chance to stand at a blessing for marriage.
His charm was able to woo the ladies from afar. Gabriel was heir to the throne, and such as, he would've gained colossal power. He was not one to mess with.
"My lord. I was just accompanying the lady." Caspian bowed his head
"Hm. Dressed like a buffoon."
Lord Gabriel turned his head to Lou, "Why don't we go"
"Yea" she said with a sense of guilt, "I'll see you later Caspian."
Gabriel harmlessly dragged Lou away from him creating quite an awkward tension between the two.
