Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 – Certainty

PK leaned back slightly and answered calmly,

"I have my own reasons. I'll explain them to you both—just not yet."

The twins did not push. They had learned by now that when PK chose not to speak, it was deliberate.

After a brief pause, PK continued, his tone turning practical.

"Can you arrange a meeting with the base head this coming weekend? March 31 would be ideal."

Today was March 29.

March 30 mattered to him.

March 31 would confirm everything.

The twins exchanged a glance, then nodded together.

"Sure," they said.

Then something unexpected happened.

They kept looking at him.

Not the usual curious glance—this was longer, quieter. Their expressions softened, and after a moment, one question came out, almost hesitant.

"PK… do you have a girlfriend?"

The question was mild, but the weight behind it was not.

PK answered casually, without hesitation.

"No. Not yet."

The effect was immediate.

Both Lana and Luna visibly relaxed. Their eyes brightened, their lips curved into small, satisfied smiles. They said nothing more, but their happiness was unmistakable.

PK noticed—but didn't think too deeply about it.

What occupied his mind instead was something entirely different.

Back in 2011, in his previous life, cricket had been everything in his country. The World Cup final—April 2.

Ivo versus Sora

 Ivo won.

But before that victory, there was the semifinal on March 30.

Ivo won that too.

This time, PK wanted proof.

That night, after returning from the café, he logged into a betting platform and placed a clean, confident bet—one lakh—on India winning the semifinal.

The next day, exactly as he remembered, India won.

His account balance updated.

Four lakhs returned.

Now he had around six lakhs in total.

PK stared at the screen for a long moment.

Then, slowly—

An evil smile formed on his face.

Not because of the money.

But because certainty had begun to replace doubt.
