Chapter 47 - Chapter 47 – The Ride to Power

The weekend arrived faster than PK expected.

Saturday evening, his phone buzzed.

We'll pick you up at the café and go together to meet the base head, the twins messaged.

PK replied casually.

"Okay."

Outwardly calm, inwardly focused—his mind was already running simulations.

How do I convince a seasoned military head to support what I'm planning next… especially with betting involved?

He refined arguments, angles, leverage points—old habits resurfacing naturally.

Right on time, the car arrived.

A latest-model Mercedes-Benz, polished to perfection, engine humming softly. A uniformed driver stepped out.

Lana sat in the front passenger seat, composed and elegant.

Luna sat in the back, her expression bright, eyes quietly fixed on PK.

Both of them looked… exceptional.

Not dressed to impress—yet unmistakably impressive.

What PK did not know was the silent war that had already taken place.

Earlier that afternoon, inside Law Manor—

"I'm sitting in the back," Lana said flatly.

"No," Luna replied, equally firm. "It's my turn."

"There was no turn."

"There is now."

The argument escalated quickly—logic, timing, fairness, imaginary rules—until their aunt intervened, rubbing her temples.

"Enough," she said. "You'll take turns. One sits in front now, the other sits in back on the return trip."

Silence.

Then two reluctant nods.

Crisis resolved.

Back in the present, PK entered the car without a second thought, nodding politely to both of them. His attention was elsewhere, already anticipating the meeting ahead.

The drive was smooth, quiet—too quiet.

Luna watched PK from the back seat, her smile gentle and unreadable.

Lana stared straight ahead, fingers lightly folded, calm on the surface.

The Mercedes passed through multiple security checkpoints before finally entering the Z City Army Base.

An elite unit officer was already waiting.

"Please follow me," he said, scanning PK briefly before turning away.

They were escorted deep into the base, away from open areas, into a more secluded and secure section.

The atmosphere changed.

Here, every step mattered.

PK adjusted his posture slightly.

The game was shifting—from shadows to authority.

And he was about to meet a man who could either open doors…

or close them forever.
