Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: Pre-War Mobilization

At the border of the West Galaxy and the North Galaxy, in the vast and boundless cosmic space, tens of thousands of warships, like dense swarms of bees, shuttled rapidly between planets with lightning speed.

Inside a magnificent warship in the middle, a nervous grunt respectfully reported the itinerary to the Ice Demon who was sitting high on the throne. "Reporting to King Cooler, the fleet is still two days away from Saiyan Star."

Cooler frowned, his gaze cold as he looked out at the vast universe, and ordered with a chilling tone, "Notify everyone to speed up the fleet. We must reach Saiyan Star within one day. This King always has an ominous premonition."

The grunt below showed a difficult expression and said hesitantly, "King Cooler, the current speed is already the fastest safe speed for the warship. If we accelerate rashly, I'm afraid…"

Before he could finish speaking, a violent energy ray instantly struck him. He let out a tragic scream and then breathed his last.

Cooler didn't even glance at the fallen grunt. He turned instead to another person and reissued the order. "Go, do as this King says. Accelerate forward!"

With the previous lesson, the other grunt's heart tightened, and he readily agreed. "Yes, sir!"

He tremblingly dragged the grunt's corpse out with him.

Cooler continued to look at the scenery outside, gritting his teeth and muttering to himself, "Hmph, hmph, those damned Saiyans, that damned Bardock. You actually dared to kill my brother Frieza and my nephew Azer. How dare you tarnish the face of my Frozen Demon Clan, and even make this King the laughingstock of the universe!"

At this moment, a trusted subordinate beside him cautiously spoke. "Your Majesty, it is said that there are many powerful warriors on Saiyan Star. For this attack, do we need to make more thorough preparations?"

"Hmph, powerful? In front of this King, they are nothing but ants! No need to worry!"

The subordinate quickly bowed his head. "Yes, Your Majesty is wise!"

Cooler thought of Bardock's expression when he returned from his outing to find Saiyan Star destroyed by him and all the Saiyans killed by him, and he couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Hahahahaha, this King is increasingly looking forward to what happens after arriving at Saiyan Star. At that time, I will make them pay a heavy price for their actions!"

...

"Report, Sir Paragus, we have detected tens of thousands of cosmic warships rapidly approaching Saiyan Star, estimated to arrive in Saiyan Star space in one day."

Inside the Saiyan Empire's Research Department, the atmosphere was tense and solemn. Ever since Bardock informed Paragus about Cooler's impending attack, he had been staying in the Research Department. Upon hearing the report, he frowned slightly.

"One day, huh? That's one day earlier than His Majesty informed me, but it's not a big problem. There's plenty of time."

Paragus smiled confidently and decisively assigned tasks to the people around him. "Toma, you go gather the Special Forces members. Garna, go gather the clan elites. The war must not affect Saiyan Star. We will depart early and set up defenses on the nearest affiliated planet to begin the battle."

Since war was inevitable, Paragus, as the Prime Minister of the Saiyan Empire, always considered issues more comprehensively. Moreover, Bardock had already informed him about Cooler's battle power of 470 million. Although Paragus was not afraid, what if he was 170 million battle power higher than himself?

The fighting race never feared strong enemies; what they feared was having no strong enemies. If they flinched from battle because of this, would they still have the face to say they were Saiyan when they went out in the future?

Toma bowed respectfully and said solemnly, "Understood, Sir Paragus!" He then retreated.

Garna hesitated slightly and asked, "Sir Paragus, do we need to recall the elite clansmen who are currently out?"

Paragus pondered for a moment and then said, "Don't call back anyone who can't make it within half a day. By the time they return, it will be too late."

Garna nodded and said, "Understood, sir. I'll go do it now." He excused himself and left.

Watching them leave, Paragus composed himself and muttered to himself, "It's time for a trip to the palace."

He then walked towards the palace. Since His Majesty was not present, it was only right and proper to inform the Queen about major clan matters, especially since the First Prince was no longer in the cultivation pod.

Paragus, emerging from the palace, arrived at the Royal City Plaza, where all the Saiyans were exuding vibrant fighting spirit. When they heard about the invasion of a powerful enemy, their first reaction, without exception, was excitement.

As for cowardice? Sorry, ever since Bardock became the Saiyan King, they had never been cowardly.

Paragus looked at the sixty-odd Royal Guards next to him, dressed in blood-red glory suits. Each of them had a minimum battle power of over a million, led by Toma.

On the other side were tens of thousands of elite Special Forces, dressed in sky-blue glory suits, with battle powers generally around 400,000, led by Garna.

The outermost circle consisted of ordinary clansmen, who were there to join the excitement.

"Sir Paragus, my normal battle power is three million. Why am I not allowed to participate in the war?"

Selypa complained. Heaven knew how excited she was when she heard the news, only to be told she wasn't included.

Paragus glanced at her and said seriously, "It's precisely because your battle power is three million that you are to remain on Saiyan Star. If all the high-level battle power goes out, who will protect Saiyan Star?"

Selypa frowned, still unwilling. "But, sir, I crave battle!"

Paragus said in a deep voice, "Although it's frustrating for a battle-loving Saiyan to stay behind, Queen Gine's safety also requires your protection."

If anything happened to Queen Gine, when His Majesty returned, they would be in serious trouble, even if they didn't die.

Selypa pouted and said helplessly, "Alright, I'll stay."

Clearly, she also understood that while battle was important, the safety of Gine and Saiyan Star was even more crucial.

"Minister, what about me? As the First Prince of the Saiyans, there's no reason for me to hide in the back when the clan faces an external enemy." Raditz descended from the sky and landed beside Paragus.

Following Raditz was his little shadow, Broly. At this moment, Broly also clenched his fists. "Mmm, mmm, Father, I want to participate too!"

Raditz patted his chest and said eagerly, "Minister, don't worry, we guarantee we won't be a burden. My and Broly's battle power is enough for self-preservation."

Broly also nodded beside him, his face resolute. "I can fight!"

Seeing this, Paragus found it difficult to say anything more. How could a subordinate interfere too much with his lord's decisions?

He could only look towards Gine, hoping she could persuade Raditz to give up the idea of going to the battlefield. Paragus softly said, "Queen Gine, what do you think?"

Gine hesitated for a moment, then turned to Paragus. "Minister, let Raditz go with them. Bardock's blood flows in Raditz's veins."
