Ashrik drove Isaac and Felix to a forest clearing over ten kilometers from the residential area. The distance should have been appropriate and safe, but he still instructed Regina to stay alert, just in case they needed her barrier.
Isaac joked once they arrived earlier. "This should be far enough ah. At least we'll still have roofs over our heads even if he turns into a zombie."
Felix responded by launching a high kick. Isaac easily dodged him.
The morning sunlight filtered through the canopy, faintly shimmering the dewed grass. Ashrik and Isaac stood far from Felix as he sat cross-legged in the middle of the clearing.
"Scared, kid?" Isaac asked with a lop-sided grin. He crossed both arms behind his neck, head tilting as he stared at the youngest among them.
"Who's scared?" Felix scoffed, throwing the eldest a look of disdain. "Just wait ah. I'll be a sixth-rank esper soon."
