"
"Queen, we have arrived at our destination," one of the jonin announced.
Malenia surveyed her surroundings. All she could see was sand; the landscape was an endless expanse of desert. Then her gaze fell upon a cluster of small houses in front of her, alongside a single tall tower. "This is definitely the place," she thought as she moved forward, her four jonin following closely behind.
As she approached the tower, she noticed a mother and daughter standing at the entrance, blocking their way. The woman spoke up, "The Queen of Rōran greets the Queen of Uzushio," and bowed slightly.
Malenia nodded in response, saying, "Sērashi, it's time. The first shinobi war is about to reach its end. I'll ask you one last time, are you coming or not?"
Queen Sērashi looked at her people and then at the tower. "This is Rōran; I can't just leave this behind."
Malenia smirked and replied, "Who said the tower isn't coming back with us?"
Sērashi was momentarily speechless. "You can move this tower entirely???"
Malenia then asked, "If the Uzumaki can't do it, then no one can. But what is this strange power in the tower?"
Queen Sērashi remained silent for a moment before motioning for Malenia to follow her. As they entered, Malenia saw a huge circle of seals. She recognized the seals at first glance; they were from her clan. It was clear that the Uzumaki and Rōran ancestors had been allies.
"That explains this seal, but why?" She looked at Sērashi, seeking answers.
Sērashi spoke, "This is Ryūmyaku, an ancient source of chakra that flows deep under Rōran, granting infinite power to those who can harness it. Only the blood heirs of the kingdom can open or close the flow, but once it's open, anyone can use it."
Malenia was taken aback by this information, though she kept a stoic expression. "Open it," she commanded.
Without hesitation, Sērashi channelled chakra through her hands, causing the seal to glow. Suddenly, a large eruption of purple chakra burst forth from the seal, swallowing the chamber in light. The seal beneath Malenia's feet stretched outward, its markings elongating unnaturally. She felt the changes; it was some kind of space-time ninjutsu, a subject in which she had become an expert.
Then—silence.
The light collapsed inward, leaving nothing but darkness.
Malenia opened her eyes to find the place empty. Queen Sērashi was gone. The Ryūmyaku seal beneath her glowed for a brief moment before dimming. Dust drifted lazily through the air. The tower felt… older.
Malenia turned slowly, absorbing the features of the chamber. The walls bore scars and fractures, poorly repaired, with chakra channels long dried and abandoned.
Her gaze returned to the dragon vein seal, where she noticed a peculiar three-pronged kunai inscribed with a formula.
Malenia stood still, narrowing her eyes. She recognised it immediately; it was the Flying Thunder God Technique, but this kunai was rare, and the seal… it resembled another Uzumaki creation.
Then she noticed the glowing kanji that appeared on her hand. Setting this aside for the moment, she studied the seal and came to a conclusion: she was stuck here for a while until the chakra reaccumulated. This kanji on her hand would indicate when she could return.
She then moved toward the exit. As she stepped outside, heat and wind struck her face—but this was not the open desert she remembered.
Her gaze shifted upward.
Buildings stretched outward in every direction. Stone and concrete replaced sand, with towers rising where dunes once lay. Roads carved through the land like scars, layered atop one another, crowded and dense. Chakra signatures flickered everywhere—countless and overlapping, regulated in ways unfamiliar to her senses. This was no small cluster of houses; this was a kingdom now.
Then she stepped outside of Rōran, staring at the empty desert again. "Sigh, I hate deserts," she muttered, her eyes landing on a figure that looked like a samurai, sporting three swords at his waist and green hair??????????????????????????????
