Chapter 56 - One Punch Shatters Susanoo

"So… strong."

The moment Shisui fully felt the Sage Body chakra surging from Ren, his last doubts vanished.

Ren was absolutely one of the masked monsters from the Nine-Tails disaster seven years ago.

That realization made Shisui feel sick.

He couldn't understand it.

With power like this, why didn't Leon embrace the Will of Fire?

If someone like him could be brought under Konoha's "light," wouldn't everything be… perfect?

But ideals didn't matter anymore.

Reality was brutal.

Facing Ren's near-oppressive presence, Shisui clenched his teeth and forced more Mangekyō power out—pushing his Susanoo to the limit.

He could feel it—his eyes were paying a brutal price.

But he didn't have a choice.

The already-towering Susanoo changed again.

Tengu wings spread from its back.

A spiral-shaped blade formed in its grip.

Its posture shifted, like a war god stepping onto the battlefield.

Perfect Susanoo.

The moment it stabilized, the ground cracked under the pressure.

A violent wave of power rolled outward, savage enough to make the air feel heavy—like the world itself was about to collapse.

"Leon."

Shisui's voice was cold, forced through clenched teeth.

"You'd better use Susanoo too."

"Otherwise you can't beat me."

"This time, I'm going all out."

Then he snarled the name of his technique—

"Susanoo: Ninety-Nine!"

The tomoe-like pattern on the green Perfect Susanoo's chest opened.

And in a blink, it fired a storm of green chakra arrows.

Whoosh—whoosh—whoosh—!

They fell like a rain of needles—dense, overwhelming—rushing to turn Ren into a pincushion.

"Good."

Ren didn't activate his Mangekyō.

He didn't even flinch.

He simply drove one fist forward.

The air detonated.

A pale ring of force flashed—

and a roaring shockwave surged outward like a tidal flood.

BOOOOM—!!

Seconds later, the shockwave slammed into the arrow storm and the entire forest shook.

The ground split with visible cracks, as if it couldn't bear the pressure.

At the impact point, the green arrows began popping one after another—

Not deflected.

Not blocked.

Shattered.

Shisui sucked in a sharp breath, disbelief splintering across his face.

"How…?"

He knew exactly how strong Susanoo: Ninety-Nine was.

And Ren erased it with a single punch.

Ren's eyes stayed calm.

"This is only the beginning."

Whoosh—!

He vanished.

Shisui's pupils contracted.

Too fast—

Ren was already in front of the Perfect Susanoo, fist coming down, trailing a pale-white burst of power that made the air explode.

"Damn it!"

Shisui had no choice.

He forced the Perfect Susanoo to swing its spiral sword up to block.

CLANG—!!

Fist met blade.

A terrifying shockwave erupted again.

For a heartbeat, it felt like time and space stalled.

Then—

Crack.

A sound like glass breaking.

The spiral sword developed visible fractures, spreading outward like a shattered mirror.

Shisui's expression twisted in horror.

"It… broke?"

Ren's mouth lifted slightly.

"Yeah."

And before Shisui could even process it—

Ren's gaze shifted to the Susanoo itself.

If he'd already started…

then he wanted to know something.

Could he destroy a Perfect Susanoo with one punch?

He moved.

One step—

One punch—

and his fist drove into the tengu armor on the Susanoo's chest.

Everything he had stacked into that blow:

Armament Haki.

The pale-white Tremor force.

And the overwhelming chakra of his Sage Body.

All of it slammed into the armor at once.

"Max defense!"

Shisui roared, forcing his Mangekyō to scream.

He poured everything into maintaining the Susanoo's protection.

But it didn't matter.

Ren's punch was beyond what Shisui could measure.

In less than three seconds—

Crack.

That sound—like a nightmare—hit Shisui's ears again.

Before he could react, the green Perfect Susanoo began breaking apart from the chest armor outward, fractures spidering everywhere—

Then—

BOOM—!!!

The entire Perfect Susanoo exploded.

And it wasn't over.

The remaining force hammered into the earth.

For thousands of meters in every direction, the ground collapsed.

Trees snapped and toppled like grass.

Giant fissures tore outward, crawling across the landscape—

like the world had entered an apocalypse.
