Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Not Worthy Opponent

Creator.

The word itself often refers to—

A god who brings all things into existence.

For a human to crown himself with the title "Creator" would seem absurd to anyone.

And yet

Renjie, who had mastered nanotechnology, had already stepped into the realm of gods.

Nanobots—

Microscopic machines no larger than molecules.

Constructed from molecular units, even individual atoms.

Within the invisible micro-world beyond human perception, they could assemble matter and create any object imaginable.

From a purely theoretical standpoint—

Everything that exists in this world is composed of molecules.

To fully master nanotechnology—

Meant that, in theory, anything could be created.

...

At the battlefield.

After pulling himself off the ground, Tony instinctively hid behind Renjie.

"This is unbelievable…"

"Aside from the darker color scheme, this armor is simply beautiful!"

"Ever thought about replacing me as the second Iron Man?"

Tony exclaimed in admiration.

This was a level of technology far beyond his current reach.

But Renjie suddenly turned—

And seized Tony by the throat, lifting him off the ground.

"I have no interest in the title of Iron Man…"

"You should… address me as… Creator."

Renjie's voice carried a lofty indifference,

The cold detachment of a being gazing down upon all life.

It was divinity—

Stripped of personality.

Tony was tossed aside like an oversized teddy bear, crashing painfully onto an empty patch of ground far from the battlefield.

After dealing with the nuisance—

Renjie turned once more toward Ivan Vanko.

"You should have let me kill him. That way, you'd have no rivals left."

Ivan Vanko spoke with feigned kindness—

But seized the moment Renjie hesitated, swinging his energy whip toward him!

Yet the whip

Was caught by Renjie with one hand.

The palms of the Creator Armor were equipped with an energy absorption system.

Through direct contact with the energy whip, it began violently devouring the power supplied by the Arc Reactor.

Ivan Vanko's expression twisted into pure horror.

The Arc Reactor in his chest flickered violently—

Like a flashlight on the verge of dying.

In just three seconds

Even the last trace of energy was drained.

The Arc Reactor became nothing more than a useless ornament.

Having finished his feast, Renjie yanked the whip violently, dragging Ivan Vanko straight toward him.

The armored fingers spread—

Clamping down on Ivan Vanko's head.

"You shouldn't have come…"

Renjie sighed softly, his expression complicated.

He could only continue forward—

According to the script.

He lifted Ivan Vanko from the ground—

And smashed him down with brutal force!

Ivan Vanko spat blood.

His eyes stared blankly as his mouth hung open, breath escaping in weak gasps.

In the final moment before consciousness faded—

He looked toward the distance, where Tony lay sprawled on the ground as well.

A mocking smile crept across his face.

What he had done… wasn't all meaningless.

At the very least

He had dragged Iron Man down from his pedestal

And witnessed the overwhelming rise of a new god.

It was over…

Renjie turned and prepared to leave.

As for the Ivan Vanko he had been searching for

He would leave him to Hammer.

That man was clever enough to handle the aftermath.

"Wait! Jie!"

"The real show is only just beginning!"

Tony's voice rang out from behind, forcing Renjie to stop and turn.

A black Rolls-Royce sat parked on the track.

Happy and Pepper tossed a suitcase-sized portable armor onto the ground.

Tony stood up, stepped on the activation switch—

And transformed before Renjie's eyes.

He was Tony.

He was Iron Man.

And he wanted to test himself—

Against this young man who dared to call himself Creator.

The silver-white repulsor in his palm finished charging, ready to fire at any moment.

Unfortunately

Renjie had no interest in wasting time on a man courting death.

"What does that ridiculous armor of yours actually prove?"

"You're just like a comic book protagonist—thinking you can save the world by building a suit."

"Trying to play god and bring peace to the world?"

"Foolish. Laughable."

Before the cameras of the global media—

Renjie mocked him mercilessly.

The thick back plating of the Creator Armor suddenly opened.

Two rows of micro-missile launch bays fired eight thumb-sized Universal Capsules into the sky.

"There is only one person in this world qualified to play the role of god."

"And that person—

Is me."

As his words fell—

The once-clear sky was suddenly swallowed by massive shadows.

When the confused spectators looked up—

The sight before them shattered their sanity.

Shrill screams tore through the venue.

Fear spread like a plague, devouring hearts.

People cried and fled in terror.

Hovering above them

Were eight colossal mechanical octopuses, each stretching over forty meters in length.

Dark gray metal bodies.

A single, blood-red eye stared down at the crowd.

No propulsion systems.

Yet they floated effortlessly in midair.

Slender mechanical tentacles writhed across the sky.

Iron Man looked up—

Staring at the eight monstrous machines that blotted out the heavens.

Whatever fighting spirit he had left—

Vanished completely.

Renjie smiled faintly.

At this stage

Iron Man was not yet worthy of being his opponent.

The anti-gravity system activated.

Renjie rose into the air—

Like a god gazing down upon a mortal.

Leading his creations, he flew toward the distant sky—

And vanished from everyone's sight.
