Draconis had thought this Blizzard would end quickly, just like the previous ones.
However, to his surprise, this Blizzard kept starting and stopping, lasting for many days.
The work of Gathering clay and firing bricks was forced to pause, and the entire territory also entered a state of stagnation.
In February, the Blizzard continued non-stop.
Residents of the territory all hid in their homes, Gathering around roaring fireplaces with family and friends to keep warm, only leaving their homes to clear snow when the Blizzard temporarily ceased.
The only silver lining was that they had received enough food before this Blizzard arrived.
The food stored in the silos was enough for them to get through this Blizzard and this cold winter.
This season, even the wild Pokémon inhabiting the wilderness were not very active.
Draconis had nothing to do; besides occasionally calling Anna to guide her and Zorua, he stayed at home with Dratini, Snivy, and Minccino, waiting for the Blizzard to end and spring to arrive.
Humans and Pokémon worked together to survive this Blizzard.
As Ice-type Pokémon, Snover are not afraid of the cold.
But even so, when the Blizzard came, they would still hide under the eaves with the children, watching the heavy snow fall outside.
This was Snover's second month since joining the territory.
After this period of getting to know each other, they had long become familiar with the people here, and even became good friends with the children in the territory.
Now, Snover live with their best friends, a pair of six-year-old siblings, and their mother.
Inside a small wooden house.
Three Snover, the siblings, and their mother sat together around a wooden table.
On the table were several bowls of oatmeal and black bread, berries from Snover's body, and a few grilled fish, while in front of Snover were several large, plump Sitrus Berries.
Lunchtime arrived, and the siblings cheered.
"I'm going to eat!"
"Moo Goo~!"
Then they all began to feast.
The woman beside them couldn't help but show a gentle smile at this scene.
"Eat slowly. If it's not enough, there's more in the pot. George, Peppa, drink these two bowls of oatmeal."
Saying that, the woman then looked at Snover.
"Snover, you should eat more too!"
"Moo Goo~!"
The three Snover let out happy Growls.
The woman's face showed a gentle expression.
The children's father had unfortunately perished in a previous Blizzard, and since then, the smiles had vanished from the faces of Peppa and George, who had witnessed their father disappear into the Blizzard.
The siblings usually ate and slept in silence at home, completely lacking their former lively and cheerful demeanor.
The woman looked at the three Pokémon in front of her, thinking that since their arrival, the home had become a bit livelier, and smiles had reappeared on Peppa and George's faces.
Watching her two children and the Pokémon enjoying their food together, the woman's face couldn't help but break into a smile.
Meanwhile, in another wooden house.
Simisear was performing a fire-grilled Sitrus Berry show in front of Ryan with its flames.
"Wow! That's amazing!" Ryan exclaimed, unable to resist giving Simisear a thumbs up.
"Ba Ke~"
Simisear placed the grilled Sitrus Berry in front of Ryan and Pidove.
This was its favorite food when it was a Pansear.
So now, it also wanted the people it liked to try it.
"Huh? You grilled it for me?" Ryan was surprised.
Simisear smiled and nodded.
Ryan sniffed, grinned, and said, "In that case, I won't be polite!"
He picked up the warm grilled Sitrus Berry and ate it in big bites.
The pulp was very soft when grilled, and eating it made one feel warm inside.
Ryan felt his body warm up along with it.
"Ba Ke~"
Seeing that Ryan seemed to really enjoy the grilled Sitrus Berry, Simisear was very happy.
It took out a few more Sitrus Berries from the basket and once again made grilled Sitrus Berries for Ryan.
Seeing this, Ryan was incredibly moved.
He immediately hugged Simisear and said emotionally, "Wuwuwu, Simisear, you're too good!"
Simisear was startled but quickly reacted, scratching its head a bit shyly.
"Ba Ke..."
The same scene played out again in different parts of the territory.
After lunch, Megan and her brother Chris moved the wooden fish tank containing Magikarp to a spot near the fireplace.
Looking at the Magikarp slowly swimming inside, Megan's face broke into a happy smile.
"Alright, Magikarp, now you don't have to worry about freezing!"
The six Magikarp still had a blank expression, but soon, one of them used the famous move Splash.
Whoosh!
Immediately, water splashed everywhere from the fish tank, and that Magikarp jumped out, landing on the wooden floor, flopping weakly like a dead fish.
Megan was both helpless and amused.
She stepped forward, picked up that Magikarp, and put it back into the water.
Then, Megan sprinkled some Sitrus Berry pieces, which Magikarp loved, into the water.
"Alright, hurry up and eat!"
Magikarp couldn't help but Splash again.
This was a sign that Magikarp was happy.
Megan was splashed with water again, and she pretended to be angry, saying, "No more jumping! Otherwise, I won't take care of you!"
Hearing this, the six Magikarp immediately behaved.
They stayed obediently in the water and ate the Sitrus Berries that had been cut into small pieces.
"That's more like it!" Megan smiled, "Eat, eat!"
Pokémon, perhaps, were not as terrifying as they had imagined.
Tiny, inconspicuous seeds slowly took root and sprouted in people's hearts.
Humans and Pokémon slowly began to integrate in this territory during this winter.
This Blizzard only finally stopped at the end of February.
What followed was the melting of snow on the ground, the revival of all things, the thawing of rivers, the growth of tender green shoots on the ground, and the blooming of flowers in the wilderness bushes.
Various figures gradually appeared in the earth, sky, rivers, forests, and grasslands, including even some existences that were usually difficult to see.
The wild Pokémon, dormant in their nests for an entire winter, finally began to roam this land again.
In early March, with the weather still fluctuating between warm and cold, Draconis, with Dratini and Snivy, looked at the gradually recovering, vibrant land before him, and a sense of relief immediately emerged in his heart.
Spring had arrived.
They had finally successfully endured this cold winter.
