Chapter 43 - Cold Set in Stone

I look down at this hard, widely spread surface, realizing it is actually the dragon's back. It's like a whole massive floor has settled right in the middle of the air. The wind whips my hair violently, the roaring sound of it deafening in my ears.

I shout so the dragon can hear me.

"Ahm... Mister Dragon!!! Can you hear me???"

Gruhhh!!!! The rushing air literally fills my mouth so hard and fast that it dries my throat out instantly. I clamp my mouth shut, gagging on the wind.

Suddenly, a deep, rumbling voice echoes directly inside my mind through telepathy.

Do not bother to speak. Just talk in your consciousness, other-world child!

Oh! Ah, thanks!! I think back loudly. So, Mr. Dragon—

Call me Thalmyrion, he says.

Mr. Thalmyrion, how do you know who I am? No, wait—this is the first time I have gotten into the same space again! No, wait... where the heck are we going?!

The massive dragon shifts slightly beneath me, his voice echoing with ancient amusement.
