Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Mutants Found Him First

Frank had a clear plan for his revenge.

He'd already wiped out the Hellhounds,

and next on his list were the Mexican GE cartel and the Irish Mob.

Everything had been moving forward in an orderly fashion.

But Hell's Kitchen was crawling with vigilantes prowling around at night.

Just recently, he'd run into one calling himself Daredevil.

That guy had interfered with Frank's revenge more than once—

and during one of those encounters, Frank had even taken a serious hit.

If not for Qin Xiao showing up back then—

and offering him that mysterious Devil Fruit—

he might not have survived long enough to finish what he started.

Eating that fruit had changed everything.

Now he had the power to finish his war.

Those two crime families? They were already living on borrowed time.

Frank—the Punisher—had his targets lined up once again.

Since his wife and daughter had died in a gang crossfire,

then every gang involved in such filth had to be erased, one by one.

Qin Xiao and Frank were still discussing their next moves

when Qin suddenly felt a strange fluctuation outside Safehouse No. 3.

"Frank, we've got company," he said quietly.

Without hesitation, Qin opened the Mirror Dimension

and stepped inside.

Frank followed him in—and froze.

The space around them shimmered like fractured glass,

every surface rippling with reflections that stretched infinitely in all directions.

It was silent, detached from the real world—

a parallel pocket of distorted reality.

"Qin? What kind of Devil Fruit ability is this?" Frank finally asked, unable to hold back his curiosity.

"This isn't from a Devil Fruit," Qin replied calmly.

"This is the Mirror Dimension.

It's a form of arcane magic—something that belongs to the hidden order of sorcerers."

"Magic, huh?" Frank murmured, eyes glinting with fascination.

"This world just keeps getting crazier.

Mutants, Devil Fruit users, now sorcerers…

I used to think my Marine Corps training made me strong.

But the more I see, the more I realize how little I knew."

For once, the Punisher sounded genuinely contemplative.

Qin Xiao, however, could only stare at him speechlessly.

Contemplative, my ass.

If this guy ever got serious, he'd probably slaughter the whole Marvel Universe.

And now, armed with the power of a Devil Fruit?

Yeah—massacres would only get easier.

Still, Qin wisely kept that thought to himself.

No need to give Frank any ideas.

"Come on," Qin said instead. "Let's see who's outside."

They phased through the mirror world, emerging beside the safehouse walls.

Outside, two unfamiliar figures were pacing, scanning their surroundings warily.

"You sure they're here?"

The first one spoke with a rough, almost taunting tone.

His skin had a faint green tint, and his face twisted into an unpleasant sneer.

Beside him stood a towering brute of a man,

his muscles bulging beneath his coat,

his nostrils flaring as he sniffed the air like a beast on the hunt.

Ten razor-sharp claws gleamed faintly in the light.

Qin Xiao took one look and exhaled slowly.

"Well, I'll be damned… I didn't expect them to show up first."

"You know those two?" Frank asked.

"I do. Mutants—Sabretooth and Toad."

Qin's tone dropped slightly.

He had expected Charles Xavier's people—the X-Men—to track them down first.

After all, with the Cerebro amplifier, Professor X could scan nearly every mind on Earth.

But instead of the X-Men,

it was Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants who had arrived.

"Should we make contact?" Frank's voice carried a dangerous excitement.

The moment he heard they were mutants, his eyes gleamed.

As a Devil Fruit user, he'd been wondering just how his power measured up against mutant abilities.

"You want to fight them, don't you?" Qin asked dryly.

"Yeah," Frank admitted without hesitation.

"I want to see how strong I really am now."

"In that case," Qin said with a faint smile, "let's give it a try."

With a gesture, the Mirror Dimension expanded outward.

Outside, Sabretooth and Toad suddenly froze.

An instinctive chill crawled up their spines—

the unmistakable sensation of being hunted.

Before they could react,

the world around them shattered like glass.

They were pulled into a strange, crystalline space,

the real world dissolving into endless mirrored fragments.

Both mutants stiffened,

but neither panicked.

They'd seen plenty of strange powers among their kind—

this was just another ability to adapt to.

Then Toad spotted someone—and his eyes lit up.

"It's you! I knew you were here!"

Frank stepped forward from the fractured reflections, calm and cold.

"So you're after me, huh?

What is this—mutants cozying up to the military now?

Trying to earn some favor by catching me?"

Frank clearly didn't realize these two weren't from the X-Men—

but from Magneto's Brotherhood,

the militant faction of mutantkind.

Toad grinned, showing yellowed teeth.

"No, no," he croaked, voice thick with amusement.

"We didn't come to capture you…

We came to invite you to join us."
