Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Traveling Through Time and Becoming 18-Year-Old Goku

Earth, The Heavenly Realm.

"I've really become the Saiyan, Son Goku…"

The transmigrator who had taken over Goku's body stared at his hands in disbelief.

This state had persisted for several hours, and he still hadn't recovered. Everything was simply too unbelievable.

At that moment, Mr. Popo walked over and asked,

"Goku, you've been sitting there in a daze for several hours. Is it because you're sad about leaving the Heavenly Realm and returning to Earth tomorrow?"

"Yes, Popo! Thinking about leaving tomorrow, I really am reluctant." Goku stood up and turned to him.

By now, Goku had fully adapted to his new identity. The feeling of immense power running through his body made him excited all over.

According to this timeline, after returning to Earth he would participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament, where his greatest enemy would be King Piccolo.

King Piccolo's strength at this point was about on par with Goku's current level.

Although Goku had inherited all of the original body's memories, he was no longer the same Son Goku as before. He couldn't guarantee whether he would be able to defeat King Piccolo like in the original story.

That's why Goku decided he needed to make preparations in advance—to widen the gap between himself and King Piccolo as quickly as possible.

Only then could he be confident of victory in the upcoming World Martial Arts Tournament.

When fighting a battle, you must fight with confidence.

A light flashed in Goku's eyes as he said,

"Popo, I want to enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for a few minutes, please."

"This…" Popo hesitated. "Goku, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber is not a place just anyone can endure. One year inside equals one day outside. The climate is unpredictable, and the gravity is ten times stronger than Earth's. One careless mistake and you could lose your life."

"I've already decided, Popo. I'm only going in for a few minutes! It shouldn't be a big deal."

"…Alright, I understand. I'll ask Kami for permission."

When Popo relayed this to Kami, the guardian was shocked.

"Popo, you said Goku wants to enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?"

"Yes, Kami."

Kami leaned on his staff and thought for a moment before finally saying,

"Alright! Popo, take Goku to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."

While waiting, Goku gazed at the boundless sky. At 18 years old, he had plenty of time to prepare.

Why only stay for a few minutes? Because even ten minutes outside equaled about three days inside. That was already enough to create a gap against King Piccolo at this stage.

There were still years ahead for more training.

When Popo returned, Goku knew it was settled.

"Goku, come with me!"

"Alright!" Goku replied with a grin.

When Popo opened the chamber's door, an endless white void stretched inside. Even before stepping in, Goku could feel the crushing pressure.

"Remember, Goku," Popo warned, "if you feel you can't endure it, you must come out immediately. Don't push yourself."

"Don't worry, Popo. I value my life more than anyone else's."

With that, Goku entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. The door closed behind him, and the flow of time shifted.

Punching his right fist into his left palm, he smirked.

"Yosh! Let's begin. Three days of training!"

"This ten-times gravity should at least raise my power level by dozens of points."

In this era, even dozens of points made a huge difference. After all, in the original story, five years later Goku and Piccolo, after removing their weighted clothes, only had power levels of 416 and 408.

If he could gain even a few dozen points now, it would be massive.

As soon as Goku stepped onto the white ground, the immense gravity crashed onto him.

"This… this is ten times gravity? I haven't even fully stepped in yet, and it's already this terrifying!"

His foot felt as heavy as a mountain, but he forced himself forward step by step.

Outside, Popo waited for about fifteen minutes before the chamber's door opened again.

"Goku, it's great that you're alright!" Popo said in relief.

"I feel great now." Goku replied with a confident smile.

He had spent about four days inside, and the improvement was obvious. His energy had grown by nearly a third.

At this stage on Earth, Goku's strength was absolutely unrivaled.

"Flying Nimbus!"

In no time, the golden cloud came soaring. Goku leapt onto it, waved, and said,

"Well, I'm leaving, Popo. Please say goodbye to Kami for me!"

And with that, he rode off toward his next challenge.
