Chapter 4 - Chapter 4- Dangerous Charms

The next day, I promised myself that I would avoid Lucian Drax at all costs

Which was better said than to be done

Everywhere I went, I heard his name, people gushing over him

I whispered to myself that he didn't matter and my anger towards him was much stronger

Before I could walk past him, he found me

"Celestia"

He whispered my name, which sent chills down my spine

"What do you want?" I demanded

His gaze lowered to the pendant in my hand, something flickered, was it recognition or annoyance, I couldn't tell

"Why do you always carry cursed items around you? Which may get you killed? He asked smoothly

I stiffened. "It belonged to my beloved sister Aurora!

His jaw tightened when I said her name, but he masked it quickly, and his voice mocking, "Then like a good girl, leave her secrets buried

I took a step back and snapped Don't you dare talk bad about her after everything you did!"

His eyes widened for s second, but he stepped closer, and I could feel his breath near me, which was warm

"You shouldn't be near me," he whispered, his voice low and like a warning. "You don't understand what type of Danger you might land in!

"Then make me understand! Tell me what type of danger I might land in, and, more importantly, why did you kill my sister? I shot back, my chin raised High

His lips curved into something which I couldn't understand not like a smile nor a smirk

"That," he murmured, his voice becoming low and commanding, would ruin you."

I opened my mouth to reply, but without any other word, he turned and walked back. Inside the university, his words and presence lingered in the air, something colder and heavier

I stood frozen, my breath ragged and clutching Aurora's pendant

Fear

Fury

And something far more dangerous all came rushing in violently

Because every instinct and Nerve screamed he was More than a threat

And deep down, a tiny part of me wasn't sure if I wanted to resist
