I entered my University, but the moment I set my leg, everything felt different.
According to everyone's pov, everything looked the same: the tall marble walls, the arched windows and bunches of students chit-chatting, but for me, nothing was the same
I tried distracting myself by focusing on studies and completing homework, but the more I tried to move on, the guilt hit hard. If i would have been a few seconds early, she would have been alive by now, but for some reason, my instincts were screaming that something had changed that would definitely ruin my not-so-ordinary life

My chest tightened as if it were in knots, and my mind was screaming to turn away from him

"Celestia," he whispered, his voice was sharp and cold, laced with warning l

He leaned closer, his breath was warm, his lips slightly brushing my ears and whispered...

Saying this, he walked away, leaving me wondering.
As usual, I couldn't sleep
The Pendant lay on my desk, shining under the moonlight, and Lucian's words echoed in my mind
I got out of the room and wandered into the hallway, desperate to get some fresh air, until I heard muffled voices
Curious and a bit reckless, I pressed my ears to the cold door
"The cult is desperately searching for her," A male voice whispered sharply. "If he finds out she's here, he will send his Allies to get her."
Another voice came- deep, smooth and familiar
"I don't know why he's searching for her, but no matter what happens, we should protect her from the cult and mainly him."
My heartbeat spiked up as I realized who they might be talking about
"She"
I held my breath, were they talking about me?
I leaned in closer. Desperately trying to overhear what they were saying, but the floor creaks under me
"Traitor!" I whispered, "Betrayed by the floor The voices inside stopped, and Cold filled the air
Then slowly, the door creaked Open and out came Lucian, his silver eyes locking onto mine
For a moment neither I nor him spoke
Then his lips curved into something dangerous, neither a smile nor a threat
"You know, Celestia, Curiosity killed the cat!" He whispered
"Excuse me! I wasn't eavesdropping I was strategically listening!" I replied
Lucian just looked at me and slammed the door right in my face
Hmph, rude- I replied
That's when I realised Aurora death wasn't random and something sinister was going on.
