Jackie looked Alian straight in the eyes, his voice calm but cold: "Your 'Three Sheep' company? It will never have a chance to collaborate with me. Simply because it's not worth it. And neither are you, Alian. I won't waste my time on someone who doesn't even know where he stands."
Alian took a step back, his face shifting from bright red with anger to a pale, stunned expression. Jackie's words were like hammer blows to his pride. His company, which he had worked so hard to build, was being dismissed by Jackie as worthless. And for Alian, that was an insult too deep to bear.
Karrien, standing nearby, wasn't doing much better. His face was ashen, and his eyes were filled with panic as he realized that all their efforts to secure a partnership had been shattered with just a few words. He stammered, unsure of what to say to salvage the situation, but his frightened silence only made things worse.
