Elwyn's POV,
Alian smirked, the twisted smile never leaving his face. "Why so tense, Elwyn? We could resolve this in a much easier way," he said with mocking sweetness. "How about you come back to me, hmm? Dennis would have a complete family again, a real father. Don't forget, I'm still his father."
His words hit me like a punch to the gut. I stared at him, unable to hide the disgust in my eyes. "You're sick," I said, my voice thick with anger. "You think I'd come back to you? After everything you've done?"
Alian only laughed louder, his voice echoing in the silent room. "Why not, Elwyn? We had good times together, didn't we? Dennis needs a father, and I can be that for him. You know it's true."
