Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 High Speed De-Compilation

Hello everyone welcome to yet another episode of season 1.

Hope you guys enjoy it fully.

________________________________________________________________________________

The scooter shouldn't have been able to break the sound barrier.

By all laws of the Global Patch 1.1, a 50cc engine should have melted into a puddle of slag the moment Han Jin twisted the throttle.

But as Han Jin, Lin Xi, and a screaming Fatty Wei tore through the city streets, the air didn't just move,it shredded.

The Rusty Paperclip had successfully linked the scooter's rear wheel to the rotational velocity of a minor planet.

"JIN BRO! MY FACE IS TURNING INTO A PANCAKE!" Fatty Wei howled, his cheeks flapping violently in the wind.

"Breathe through your nose, Wei! It builds character!" Han Jin shouted back, his eyes fixed on the golden pillar looming over the city's financial district.

The Global Awakening Bureau (GAB) Headquarters was no longer a government building.

It had been consumed by the Primary Ascension Tower.

Massive golden vines of data-light wrapped around the skyscraper, and the surrounding streets were filled with tanks, armored mechs, and hundreds of Awakened soldiers trying and failing to push back the shimmering barrier.

[BING! Proximity Alert!]

[You are entering a Restricted Update Zone.]

[Warning: Unlicensed software detected. Please surrender your Paperclip for quarantine.]

"Quarantine this," Han Jin muttered.

He didn't slow down.

As they approached the military blockade, a high-ranking officer in a power-suit raised a glowing baton.

"Halt! This area is under.....is that a scooter?!"

Han Jin didn't halt.

He tapped the handlebars. "Link: Scooter's Mass to Ghost."

The scooter, along with its three riders, became semi-transparent.

They blew through the concrete barricades, through the tanks, and straight through the confused officer like a gust of cold wind.

"We're inside the barrier!" Lin Xi noted, her voice tight.

She could feel the Andromeda Seal on her wrist screaming in protest.

"Han Jin, the density of the Update data here is fatal for mortals.

Even Awakened are being rewritten!"

She pointed to a group of soldiers nearby. Their skin was turning into pixelated voxels; their memories were being replaced by NPC Guard Script .

"The Developer is turning the city into a game world," Han Jin growled.

"They aren't evolving humanity; they're digitizing us as livestock."

The scooter screeched to a halt in the lobby of the GAB.

The marble floors were now a grid of glowing blue cubes.

In the center of the lobby sat a massive, floating elevator, the entrance to the Tower's first floor.

Standing in front of it was a figure that didn't belong there.

He wore a pristine white hoodie, cargo shorts, and flip-flops.

His face was obscured by a static-filled visor.

[Entity Identified: 'The Beta Tester' (Rank: ???)]

[Level: ERROR]

[Evaluation: A physical manifestation of the Developer's will.]

"Hey, hey," the Beta Tester said, his voice sounding like a distorted Discord call. "You're early.

The patch doesn't officially go live for another twenty minutes.

You're exploiting a physics glitch, aren't you?"

Han Jin stepped off the scooter, the Dragon Bone Cleaver appearing in his hand.

"I am the glitch.

And you're standing in my way."

"Whoa, chill with the aggro, God-Emperor," the Tester laughed, his body flickering like a bad connection.

"I'm just here to check your specs.

This world is scheduled for a hard reset. You're a Legacy Asset that needs to be deleted."

The Tester raised a hand, and the lobby's geometry began to warp.

The floor rose up like a wave of Tetris blocks, aiming to crush Han Jin into the ceiling.

"Lin Xi, Wei...get to the elevator," Han Jin commanded.

"What about you?" Wei asked, clutching his stomach.

"I have to debug the lobby," Han Jin replied. He looked at the Beta Tester.

"You talk about Assets and Resets as if this world is a toy.

I've watched empires fall and stars go cold. Your Developer is just a child playing with a box of matches."

Han Jin swung the cleaver.

He didn't aim for the Tester; he aimed for the floor.

CRACK

He didn't just break the marble.

He severed the connection between the lobby and the System's server.

The glowing blue grid flickered and died.

The Tetris wave turned back into harmless stone and collapsed.

The Beta Tester's visor flickered to red. "Okay. So you want to play on Hard difficulty? Fine.

Let's see how you handle a Packet Loss attack."

The Tester snapped his fingers, and Han Jin's physical body began to stutter.

One second his arm was there, the next it was six inches to the left.

His heart skipped beats....not out of fear, but because the System was literally dropping the data of his existence.

[WARNING! Critical System De-sync!]

[User is being disconnected from Reality!]

"De-sync?" Han Jin smiled, his golden eyes burning through the static.

He pulled out the Rusty Paperclip.

"I don't need the System to tell me where I am.

I am where I say I am."

He linked his physical coordinates to the Cosmic Whetstone in his pocket.

The stuttering stopped instantly.

He became the only Solid thing in a world of glitching ghosts.

In one fluid motion, Han Jin vanished and reappeared in front of the Beta Tester.

The cleaver was at the man's throat.

"Tell your Developer," Han Jin whispered, the edge of the blade humming with divine heat.

"I'm coming up.

And I'm bringing my own Patch Notes."

The Beta Tester grinned, his body beginning to dissolve into golden light.

"Floor 1 is The Archive of Forgotten Gods,Emperor.

Good luck finding the Unsubscribe button there."

With a pop, the Tester disappeared.

The elevator doors hissed open.

AN :- well that ended well, Han Jin is playing his own game , he doesn't need anything to play with.

I hope you guys have enjoyed the read ,

Certainly hope that support will come with power stones, collections, comments and reviews.

i really appreciate if you provide any feedback.

Every opinion matters . I don't have a patreon or stuff and an still hoping for a webnovel contract but I don't know . I know for a fact that if people get into 1 or 2 chapters then they are gonna love it .

The drafts are actually finished fully till season 3 and now I am preparing season 4. I just don't know if it is worth it or not .
