The logic behind this is actually quite simple. It is a well known fact that Your Excellency, the God of Destruction, does not have life within you because of your unique Power of Destruction.
Furthermore, since you and the Goddess of Life are both powerful God Kings with equal levels of strength, even she cannot fully remove or neutralize your Power of Destruction. Instead, your opposing energies can only cancel each other out.
In such a situation where your powers are constantly in a state of mutual annihilation, it is naturally impossible for a child to be conceived.
The God of Destruction listened closely to these words. The explanation made a lot of sense to him. He looked at the young man standing before him and asked what his solution was.
My first plan is for you to temporarily seal your own Power of Destruction. You would only need to lower your strength from the level of a God King down to perhaps the level of a First Class God. At that point, the perfect balance between you and the Goddess of Life would be broken.
Her gentle power would then be able to easily overcome and neutralize the remaining destruction energy inside your body. Even though your strength would be much weaker during this time, the chances of you finally having a child would be much higher.
The God of Destruction thought about this for a moment. He realized that this method could actually work. It was just a temporary seal on his own power. He was a powerful God King who had perfect control over his God Position.
For a natural divinity like himself, performing such a seal was not a hard task at all. In fact, it was very simple. But he wondered if things were truly that easy. He kept his face calm and asked about the second method.
Kong Mingan smiled and explained that his Spirit was a bit special. He told the god that he had the ability to control and understand all kinds of energy that belonged to him.
Theoretically, if he possessed the Power of Destruction, he would be able to analyze it and study it. He could then find a more permanent solution.
He admitted that he could not do that right now because his level was too low. However, he believed that if he grew strong enough to reach the Divine Rank, it would not be a difficult task.
As Kong Mingan finished speaking, the God of Destruction heard a hidden meaning in the words. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Kong Mingan for a long time. Finally, he realized what the boy was doing. He asked if Kong Mingan wanted to use this problem as a way to get protection until he became a God.
Kong Mingan admitted that the God of Destruction was very smart for seeing through his plan. The God of Destruction frowned because he did not quite understand why the boy was taking this path.
He told Kong Mingan that this plan did not conflict with him becoming the heir to the Destruction God Position. If Kong Mingan became his successor, he would naturally protect him anyway.
Also, by taking the God Position, he would learn to control the Power of Destruction much faster than by studying it on his own. He also pointed out that Kong Mingan had a demi plane and could bring his friends to the God Realm to live forever.
Kong Mingan did not argue because he knew the god was right. He could just accept the legacy and get everything he wanted. He could even stop the god tests for a while to focus on his research. There was no real need to make a separate deal like this.
However, Kong Mingan explained that he had a habit of liking fair trades. He said that mutual benefit made him feel more relaxed and less like he owed a debt. He looked the god in the eye and asked what he thought of the deal.
The God of Destruction was silent for a minute. Then, a small smile appeared on his face. He liked Kong Mingan more and more. He accepted the deal and said he hoped Kong Mingan would not let him down. Kong Mingan promised to do his best.
The God of Destruction laughed a little and said that doing his best was not enough. He decided to give Kong Mingan one month of time in the God Realm, which was equal to thirty years on the Douluo Plane. He told the boy that if he did not become a God by then, he would have to give up and inherit the God Position of Destruction.
Kong Mingan felt like a young man being told by his father to come home and run the family business if his own dreams failed. He chuckled and nodded, saying that he understood the terms. The God of Destruction was very happy with this. He felt that Kong Mingan was much better than the irresponsible Asura God who had just left his post and ran away.
With the main deal finished, the God of Destruction looked over at Da Ming and Er Ming. The two giant beasts were floating in the air, waiting to see if they would live or die. The God of Destruction was about to kill them when Kong Mingan spoke up and asked if he could have them instead. When the god asked why, Kong Mingan smiled and said they were Divine Beasts and it would be a waste to just kill them.
The God of Destruction understood immediately. He knew Kong Mingan liked to save resources and did not want to waste good materials. He nodded and waved his hand. He removed the divine force that gave them their strength and replaced it with a different kind of destruction energy. This new energy was meant to control them.
He then gave a triangular mark to Kong Mingan. He explained that it was a god test marker. It would allow the god to help Kong Mingan if he was ever in danger, and it would also let Kong Mingan control the two beasts.
Kong Mingan thanked him, but the God of Destruction just waved his hand. He said it was just part of their fair trade. Then, he looked up at the sky. He was only an incarnation made of energy, but his real body in the God Realm already knew everything.
Up in the God Realm Committee hall, the real God of Destruction sat with the Goddess of Life. Facing them was Tang San, the Sea God, who looked very angry. Purple light was everywhere as the God of Destruction used his power to pin Tang San to his seat. Tang San could not move at all.
While fighting was not allowed, using pressure to hold someone down was not technically a fight. Tang San tried to use his Sea God power to break free, but he failed. His eyes turned red with anger as he yelled at the God of Destruction for interfering with the lower world.
The God of Destruction laughed at him. He said he was only finding an heir for his God Position, which was perfectly allowed. Then his voice became very cold and serious. He told Tang San that if he hadn't gone down there, he wouldn't have known how bad Tang San was acting. He accused Tang San of letting his followers try to kill the Child of Destiny and an heir to a God Position. He looked at Tang San and asked if he admitted to his crimes.
