POV: Draco and Lucen (Shared)
Their bloodline benefited from her father's imprisonment.
DRACO
I don't move right away after Aphrodite says it.
My father wasn't killed. He was contained.
The words are still sitting in the cold air of the ruins and I'm standing in the doorway with stone at my back and I can't make myself go any further into the room. Not yet. Because I just watched that vision — or the edge of it, whatever came through when the wards shifted after her blood hit the lock — and I know what I saw. I recognized those Alpha lines sitting across the table from the Direwolves. I recognized the energy of them, the particular way Alpha-born wolves hold themselves in a room they expect to control.
My family line was at that table.
