Chapter 2 - Born Sacred

"I wonder what my Talent is." Noah didn't dwell too much on the future Disasters; that was something for important figures to consider. He was more concerned about what Talent he would awaken.

Everyone would awaken a Talent. Talent varied in strength, starting from the lowest F-Grade, then E-Grade, D-Grade, C-Grade, B-Grade, A-Grade, S-Grade , SS-Grade, all the way up to the highest SSS-Grade.

A light screen slowly appeared. Just as the content was about to be displayed, I t suddenly became blurry again, as if affected by some interface. After a long time, it became clear.

[Name : Noah Blackwell]

[Rank : Zero]

[Talent : Born Sacred (EX)]

[Strength : 8(10)]

[Agility : 7(10)]

[Constitution : 8(10) ]

[Spirit : 7(10)]

[Skills : None]

Below the attribute panel, there was also options like Instance, Inventory, Friends, etc.

"What is EX-Grade?" Noah was stunned.

His gaze fell on the Talent, and immediately, related information appeared.

[Talent : Born Sacred (EX) ]

[Effect One : Undying and Imperishable ( No means can completely kill you. After death, you can choose to revive on the spot or in a safe location.)]

[Effect Two : Get Stronger by Breathing (As long as you breath, you will get stronger in all aspects, and you can perfectly control it. The higher you rank, the greater the increase.)]

"This Talent is too heaven defying."

Noah was dumbfounded. Just the Undying and Imperishable effect from Effect One was exaggerate enough, let alone the The Get Stronger by Breathing effect from the Effect Two.

He could seemingly feel his physical condition getting better and better with each breath he took. This wasn't an illusion, because in just this short time, his Strength, Agility, Constitution, and Spirit on the attribute has all increased by 0.1.

This was too awesome.

Although he hadn't see the effect of SSS-Grade Talents, Noah believed that his Ex-Grade Talent definitely surpassed them.

Carefully experiencing the sensation of growing stronger simply by breathing, Noah quickly confirmed two facts.

First, every time his strength increased through breathing, his four core attributes- Strength, Agility, Constitution, and Spirit, all rose by 0.01. This was only effect at zero grade. As his grade increased, the amplification would naturally grow stronger as well.

Second, the strengthening frequency was fixed at twenty breath per minute. In other words, every minute , his Strength, Agility, Constitution, and Spirit would each increase by 0.2.

This frequency was absolute. Whether he took deep breaths or rapid ones made no difference. As long as he was breathing, the effect would continue.

That meant 0.2 per minute, 12 per hour, and 255 per day.

One had to know, the upper limit for ordinary people was only 10.

He didn't need to enter instances.

He didn't need to hunt monsters.

As long as he keep breathing, he would continue growing stronger, steadily, endlessly.

Noah was completely shaken.

There were three people in the hospital ward. Aside from Noah, the bed near the door was occupied by an Old Man in his sixties, suffering from an unknown illness. The third person wasn't a patient, but the old man's granddaughter, a girl who looked like a high school student, visiting him.

The swirling iridescent light had healed Noah's injuries, and the old man was no exception. His complexion was rosy now, his pain gone without a single dose of medicine.

While Noah was immersed in studying his talent, the grandfather and granddaughter were chatting excitedly.

'Grandpa, my Talent is A-Rank," the girl said proudly, tilting her head. "That's a one in a thousand chance!"

The higher the Talent grade, the rarer Awakening became. Most people awakened F-Rank or E-Rank Talents. The probability of S-Rank was only one in a hundred thousand.

As for the highest SSS-Rank...

There were probably fewer than a hundred such individuals in the entire world.

The old man's Talent was only E-Rank.

However, he didn't mind at all. He listened to his granddaughter chatter away with a gentle, indulgent smile. At his age, his ability to accept new things was far inferior to that of younger generation. He could only half understand the excited explanation pouring out of her health.

From time to time, the high school girl glanced at Noah, her eyes filled with curiosity. It was obvious she wanted to know what grade Noah's Talent was.

Noah had no interest in showing off in front of an old man and young girl.

He had only been in the ward for a short time and hadn't spoken much to them. They were complete strangers. There was no way he could casually announce that he possessed some absurd, rule defying EX-Rank Talent.

Opening his class group chat, Noah saw a messages scrolling by a high speed.

When he scrolled upward, almost everything was related to him. The news of his assassination attempt had already spread through the class, and his classmates were all expressing shock and concern.

However, as soon as topic of National Awakening came up, the conversation instantly shifted.

"Hahaha, I awakened an A-Rank Talent!"

"Henry, you're ridiculously lucky! Based on awakening probabilities, there aren't many A-Ranks in the entire school. And who would've thought our class would get one!"

"Henry, from today on you're my godfather! Godfather above, please accept this bow from your son!"

"So jealous... I'm only D-Rank."

"F-Rank crying in the bathroom."

Before long, Noah had a clear picture of the situation.

As for the specific details of their Talents, very few were generous enough to share them openly.

Someone in the group began @-mentioning those who hadn't spoken yet, including Noah.

Noah hesitated for a moment, just to respond, when suddenly.

Rapid footsteps echoed from the corridor, moving at alarming speed.

Noah's heart tightened slightly.

After having just survived an assassination attempt, he was unusually sensitive to anything out of ordinary.
