Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: Boasting

Last night, Takuya slept soundly. In the middle of the night, when the cold that pierced his skin slowly turned warm, his body felt comfortable. Takuya did not know what or why, but he felt one thing clearly. It felt soft and bouncy.

Several hours passed. Takuya slowly opened his eyes. His eyelids felt heavy, his body still hurt, and his head was ringing. For a moment, he forgot where he was. Until the smell of grilled meat entered his nose.

"Food...?!"

He woke up instantly. He sat up right away and turned his head quickly. His vision was still a bit blurry, but he could see the silhouette of someone sitting not far from him.

A girl with long flowing pink hair that looked very different from the forest around them. Her blood red eyes stared straight at Takuya with a cold gaze. In her hand, she was holding a piece of animal thigh meat that was still hot.

The girl extended her right hand. "Eat, Master," she said.

Takuya widened his eyes. "Eeh?"

**

Takuya was shocked. He pinched his hand, and the pain made him sure that this was not a dream.

"Who are you?"

The girl was silent for a moment before answering in a flat but gentle tone. "I am Lyssia, the Blade of Silence. You are the one who summoned me to this world, Master."

Takuya fell silent and frowned. His brain worked slowly, but little by little, pieces of information started to connect.

"Is this because of Unlimited… Gacha?" he tried to remember. He tilted his head. "Oh right! I pressed that before..." Takuya suddenly turned panicked. "Do not tell me that you are..." he said while pointing at the girl.

Lyssia nodded. "That is correct. You obtained me."

Takuya was shocked. His eyes widened. He could not believe what just happened. The gacha that was always trash had now given him something interesting, a maid elf girl.

He looked at his system screen.

[Summoned Servant: 1/???]

[Lyssia has been added as a Servant!]

Takuya rubbed his eyes. He still could not believe what was happening. But no matter how many times he rubbed his eyes, what he saw did not change.

[Unlimited Quest]

[Recruit as many servants as possible. For every 10 new servants, you will gain a 5 percent stat increase.]

[Limited Quest]

[Recruit one hundred new servants!]

[Reward: Legendary Item, Unique Skill, 1,000 Gacha Points.]

[Next Draw: 15 Hours Remaining!]

Takuya swallowed hard. This was the first time he saw something different on his system screen. He could not stop himself from smiling.

The mission he received was very interesting. "With this, I will become strong, right?"

Takuya looked at Lyssia once again. She looked like an ordinary elf girl, if not for the two short blades hanging on her waist.

Those two daggers were not normal weapons. Takuya did not know how strong they were, but he was sure that Lyssia herself was very strong.

[Lyssia. The Blade of Silence]

Full Name: Lyssia Calvire

Alias: Blade of Silence

Race: High Elf

Class: Silent Duelist, Calamity Maid

Level: 500

Status: Loyal to Master Takuya Minami

Affiliation: Seven Legendary Maidens of Calamity

When Takuya saw Lyssia's stats, he swallowed hard. This was insane. She was like a god level character in an RPG game. Level 500 was a completely unreasonable number.

Takuya did not know if Lyssia's level was considered high in this world or not. But in the games he had played, this was already extremely amazing. It could be called overpowered.

"Master, where is this place?" Lyssia asked.

Her face was expressionless, but her eyes showed confusion. She appeared in this world without knowing anything about it. The only thing she knew was that Takuya was her master.

Looking at Lyssia reminded Takuya of when he first arrived in this world.

Suddenly, Takuya stood up. He looked at Lyssia with a wide smile and pointed at her with the meat that was almost finished.

"Alright, I will explain it to you," he said confidently. "But this is a huge secret. A very huge one. Never tell this to anyone!"

Lyssia stared at him without blinking. "Understood."

Takuya smiled. He thought to himself, okay, she believes me. Now it is time for high level improvisation and lies. He laughed quietly to himself. Lyssia only looked at Takuya with a serious expression. He thought that he would create his own anti hero story in this world. Those fools would regret everything.

"I am not an ordinary human," Takuya said to Lyssia.

Lyssia tilted her head. "What do you mean, Master?"

Takuya took a deep breath, then spoke in a low and heavy tone as if this was a great burden. "I am an envoy of the Gods."

Lyssia's gaze immediately became serious. She was interested.

"The Gods sent me to this world for one purpose." Takuya lowered his head and blinked for a moment. "I was sent to eradicate the evil that has grown in the shadows for thousands of years in this world. This world is already in chaos. That is why the Gods sent me to cleanse everything."

Lyssia nodded. She became excited when she realized that her master was an envoy of the Gods. That meant her master was chosen and extremely powerful.

Takuya continued with a calm but firm voice. "The Umbra Nexus organization has polluted the kingdoms, misled the kings, and even infiltrated holy temples. They worship chaos, and now they are trying to revive a forbidden being, the Ninth Evil King."

"The Ninth Evil King?" Lyssia repeated softly.

"He is the Demon King of the past. He is the result of the oldest curse of the Gods, sealed in a shadow dimension, waiting for the time to return. If he awakens, there will be no hope. The world will be destroyed."

Takuya stared deeply at Lyssia. "That is why I was sent down."

While pointing at the sky with the remaining meat in his hand, he said, "The Gods blessed me with the power to defeat the Ninth Evil King. Only I can do it. And you..." Once again, he pointed at Lyssia. "You are part of the chosen ones. That is why I want you to recruit more members to join us. That is your special mission."

Lyssia clenched her hands tightly. "Alright, Master. I will do it." Her eyes shined brightly. She was very excited.

Takuya nodded slowly. "Good. I like that spirit."

"Master, does the Ninth Evil King have a name?" Lyssia asked.

Takuya fell silent for a few seconds, thinking. Of course, he would boast again. He nodded happily with the idea in his head.

"The name of the Ninth Evil King is the Demon King Ouroboros," he answered.

Lyssia nodded. She remembered that name in her mind. She remembered everything her master said. She was so excited that her cold eyes shined with passion.

Seeing that, Takuya smiled. Suddenly, his stomach growled. He was hungry, and an idea appeared in his head.

A very fun idea.

He looked at Lyssia again. "Come with me. We will meet one of the Umbra Nexus members and give them a warning. We will show them that their plan will fail," Takuya said with excitement.

Lyssia nodded. She stood up and held her two daggers. "Are we going now?"

Takuya nodded. "Of course. We will go to the Valion royal palace. We will warn the followers of the Ninth Evil King in our own way."

Lyssia nodded. "I am ready, Master!"

Takuya turned around and pointed in one direction. "We are going!" he said.

When he was about to step forward, Lyssia suddenly tapped his shoulder. "Master, the city is that way!" Lyssia said while pointing in a different direction.
