Chapter 4 - 4.where is she?

(Modern dimension)

The dining table felt warmer than usual that night.

Not because of the lights or the food—but because everyone was present.(Jimmy is Rebecca 's husband as well as scott's father).

Jimmy sat at the head of the table, loosening the sleeves of his shirt after a long day in the lab. Rebecca moved back and forth between the kitchen and the table, making sure everything was placed perfectly, as she always did. Scott leaned lazily on his chair, scrolling through his phone, pretending not to care—but occasionally glancing at the empty chair beside him.

That chair was meant for Erika.

And right on cue, she appeared.

She stepped into the dining room quietly, her presence subtle yet commanding, as if the air itself adjusted to her arrival. Erika still hadn't fully adapted to this dimension—the lights, the furniture, the way people sat so casually around food—but she had learned to mask it well.

"Sorry," she said simply, taking her seat.

Rebecca smiled. "You're just in time."

As they began to eat, Erika tasted the food carefully, as if every bite was an experiment. Every day in the modern dimension felt like discovering a new world through flavors alone. The spices were unfamiliar, the textures strange, yet comforting in a way she couldn't explain.

Back in her kingdom, meals were simple. Predictable. Survival-focused.

Here, food felt like… emotion.

After dinner, Rebecca placed dessert plates on the table. A soft blueberry pancake rested on each plate, its deep blue color standing out sharply against the white ceramic.

The moment Erika's eyes fell on it, something inside her froze.

It is Blue.

Her fingers tightened slightly around the edge of the table.

Her heartbeat changed.

For a second, the dining room faded—replaced by a vague, blurry sensation she couldn't name.

"Where…" she began, her voice quieter than usual.

Everyone looked at her.

"Where did you find me?" Erika asked suddenly. "That night… I don't remember anything. I don't remember how I ended up here."

Silence.

Not the awkward kind—but the dangerous kind. The kind where everyone knows something, yet no one wants to speak first.

Rebecca was the first to react. She controlled her expression effortlessly and said, "We found you in the park. Near our house."

Jimmy nodded immediately. "Yeah. We usually go for walks there. You were unconscious."

Scott avoided eye contact.

Erica studied their faces. She didn't press further.

"Okay," she said.

But something in her didn't believe them.

That night, everyone went to bed early.

Sleep came easily to everyone except Erika.

She stood in the middle of her kingdom's marketplace.

The air was cold. Empty.

The stalls were abandoned. Lanterns flickered weakly, swinging as a gentle breeze passed through the streets. There were no voices. No footsteps. No life.

"Hello?" she called.

No answer.

Then she saw it.

A blue glow.

Lying near the stone fountain was a familiar shape—a watch.

As she touched it, the world shattered.

People lay across the ground—injured, bleeding, broken. The sound of pain filled the air. Erika stumbled back in shock.

"Mira!"

She ran.

Mira lay against a collapsed stall, her armor cracked, her body covered in wounds. Her eyes burned with anger.

"Why did you leave?" Mira shouted. "Why did you abandon us?"

"I didn't—" Erika tried to speak.

"You disappeared!" Mira continued. "And everything fell apart because of that!"

"No… this isn't true," Erika whispered.

Mira's voice echoed louder. Angrier.

"This is your fault."

Erika screamed.

"No! This is not true!"

She woke up violently.

Her hand knocked over the lamp beside her bed, shattering it instantly. The sound echoed through the house.

Within seconds, footsteps rushed in.

Rebecca. Jimmy. Scott.

Even the puppy ran in, barking loudly before jumping onto the bed and licking Erika's face, as if trying to ground her back into reality.

Rebecca held her shoulders. "What happened?"

Erika breathed heavily. "A nightmare. Just… a nightmare."

She hesitated, then added, "I saw something blue. Like a wristband… or a watch."

Jimmy and Rebecca exchanged a glance.

Rebecca smiled gently. "It's just stress. You're in a new place. It'll get better."

Eventually, they all left.

But Erika didn't sleep again.

She stood on the balcony, staring at the moon.

And she heard everything.

"We shouldn't tell her about the watch," Rebecca whispered from the next room.

"Not until we know why my father sent her here," Jimmy replied.

"There's a reason," Rebecca said firmly. "There has to be."

Erika's hands curled into fists.

They're hiding something, she thought.

(Robotic dimension)

In the robotic dimension, a voice echoed through the lab.

"Dad! Dad! I did it!"

Olive turned sharply as his son sunny rushed in, eyes glowing with excitement.

"I created a translator," he said. "Not for human languages—but for frequencies. Even unknown ones."

Before Olive could respond, an alarm blared.

"Moon sensor damaged."A loud voice heard from the lab by a scientist.

At the same time, unknown beings collected samples on the moon's surface—unaware they had already been detected. They actually talked in a different language about the changes they are going to do in the moon if the samples they collected are approved by their scientists.

Here in the lab , the commander of spaceships ordered to send

Two spaceships launched to the moon to check the sensors condition.

Something had begun.

(Historic dimension)

Mira stood beside Alexander.

"It's been four days," she said quietly. "She's never been gone this long."

Alexander said nothing—but worry filled his eyes.

And far away, Minister Jacob smiled to himself.

If Erika was truly gone, the throne would soon be his.

(Modern dimension)

Everyone was waiting in the dining table for Erika but she was not there even after 8:30. So Jimmy sent scott to check in her room. After few minutes, Scott burst into the kitchen.

"She's not in her room," he said, panic clear in his voice.scott checked all the corners of the room but he cannot find Erika.

Jimmy and Rebecca froze.

"If we don't find her," Scott continued, "we're already in danger."
