Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

"Call my brother… over here… He has healing abilities… Go… quickly…"

Li Miao'er spoke in broken gasps, not a trace of color left on her face. Her watery eyes were filled with pure agony—the pain was almost unbearable.

Her crescent-shaped brows were tightly knitted, crystalline sweat streamed down her cheeks, and her pink mouth kept puffing out cold air.

Her petite body trembled involuntarily, as if already in critical danger.

Ye Qing'er felt nothing but deep distress. She reached out to lift the little brat cat by the waist, feeling the soft, tender body that kept trembling. I shouldn't have used so much force…

"Xiao Yi, come quick! Meow'er's stomach is injured! Use your healing on her!"

She gently carried the little brat cat to the sofa, then dashed to the kitchen to pull Chen Yi over.

Looking at Sister Meow curled up on the sofa, the azure-blue depths of Chen Yi's eyes grew darker.

His slender brows were tightly furrowed, his gaze full of confusion. How could Sister Miao lose to Sister Qing'er?

"Sister Qing'er, what happened? Weren't you fine just now?"

Chen Yi pressed his thin lips together and gathered Sister Meow into his arms, gently stroking her cold little face.

This little cat's combat power is so high; she shouldn't have lost. Could it be Sister Qing'er ambushed her?

"I meant to kick her leg, but she dodged, so I ended up hitting her stomach… and that's how it turned out."

Ye Qing'er followed and sat beside him, her snow-white, pretty face etched with guilt and regret.

Though somewhat remorseful, she still felt she hadn't done anything wrong—just been a bit heavy-handed.

"Forget it, Sister Qing'er. Don't fight anymore. I really don't get what you two are trying to prove."

Feeling Sister Miao's trembling gasps, listening to her weak pants of pain, Chen Yi silently thought: Hope, use Recovery Holy Light on Li Miao'er.

"Your mental power has reached its current upper limit. It is recommended you first absorb several Energy Crystals, then direct the Recovery Holy Light at the target."

"Sister Qing'er, help me get the Energy Crystals. They're on the nightstand in the bedroom," Chen Yi hastily called out.

Ye Qing'er got up and ran to the bedroom to fetch the Energy Crystals, her pretty face a mix of surprise and urgency.

Cough, cough.

Chen Yi directly swallowed all the crystals in his hand, patted his chest for a moment, then looked down at the little sister in his arms and softly invoked: "Recovery Holy Light!"

A white lotus flower of holy energy drifted from his palm, instantly alighting upon Sister Meow.

As the elemental light dissipated, Li Miao'er opened her big, watery eyes, gazing at her brother's holy expression and his enticingly red, thin lips… she really wanted to do something naughty.

She couldn't help but feel the urge to forcibly push him down, but fortunately, she forcefully suppressed these thoughts.

"Xiao Yi, why do you have so many Energy Crystals?" Ye Qing'er asked softly, her red lips pressed together.

"Sister Qing'er, ordinary zombies also have Energy Crystals, just like mutated creatures."

Chen Yi gently stroked Sister Meow's little face, feeling its returning warmth. Thank goodness I can heal injuries. Otherwise, this little kitten would have been a goner.

"I never knew zombies had this. I must have killed dozens on my way back last night. Can I still dig out the crystals now?"

Ye Qing'er stood up, asking excitedly, her beautiful eyes blinking.

"Zombies also devour their own kind to evolve. It's pouring rain outside—no point checking. They've probably been gone for a while."

Chen Yi looked down at Sister Meow's little face. She was fine now, her cheeks flushed, her eyes full of mischief… she looked like she wanted to do something very bad.

"Brother… I feel so uncomfortable~"

Li Miao'er wrapped her arms around her brother's neck, pushing him down onto the sofa. Sniffing his rich scent, she gently kissed his lips with her soft pink ones.

Watching this intimate scene, Ye Qing'er clenched her fists tightly. If I'd known, I would've finished off this little brat cat earlier.

To think she'd start bullying her brother right after being healed, and even do it right in front of me… she's truly inhuman.

"Little brat cat, are you okay now? Do you have to act like a beast?"

Ye Qing'er pinched Sister Meow's arm and yanked her up forcefully, staring at the now obedient and delicate beauty.

Those alluring, thin lips with their crystalline sheen, that charmingly handsome face… I also want to go over and kiss them, maybe do something even more pleasant. A mere kiss isn't enough…

Ahem, ahem.

Chen Yi stood up and cleared his throat twice. Seeing Sister Qing'er clench her fists, ready to fight again, he hastily intervened.

"Meow, Sister Qing'er, I can use my healing ability at most twice a week. Forcing it beyond that costs my lifespan. So, think carefully before you fight."

He spoke in a cool, admonishing tone, then turned and headed back to the kitchen. The milk porridge in the pot had gone cold and needed reheating.

"Hmph. Fine, we'll stop fighting for now. I'll beat you up next week."

Li Miao'er pursed her lips, thinking it over, and finally unclenched her small fist. Her strength was too great.

If she really went all out and crippled 'Cow Qing,' her brother would undoubtedly exhaust himself trying to save her. He's still too kind-hearted.

"Little brat cat, Xiao Yi and I are childhood sweethearts. You shameless homewrecker! How dare you act like this with me?"

Ye Qing'er glared at her, beautiful eyes blazing with anger, her expression utterly furious. She truly wanted to beat this little naughty cat until she cried.

But she was also worried about being pinned to the ground and bullied like before—she couldn't endure that kind of humiliation.

Li Miao'er got up and smiled, not refuting Sister Qing'er. She took two bottles of yogurt and handed one to her.

"Alright, enough nonsense. You know perfectly well whether I'm a beast or not. If you were me, you'd also do everything in your power to make your brother fall for you."

She narrowed her beautiful eyes and lay comfortably on the sofa, slowly sipping the yogurt in small mouthfuls, savoring the rich, sweet-and-sour flavor.

"I definitely wouldn't! To be human is to have morals. How could you violate basic ethics?"

Ye Qing'er took a big gulp of yogurt, her pretty face instantly flushing red. Her beautiful eyes blinked rapidly, as if trying to mask her lie.

"Hehe. What a hypocrite. Pah."

Li Miao'er stuck out her pink tongue disdainfully, gave Sister Qing'er a contemptuous look, then lowered her head to continue sipping her yogurt.

"What's wrong with being a hypocrite? It's better than being an outright villain like you."

Ye Qing'er licked her vermilion lips and smiled. Indeed, if she and Little Brat Cat swapped places, she'd do the same.

Maybe even a bit more—a kiss was nothing; she'd definitely aim to occupy both his body and his heart.

Tch. Pah.

Li Miao'er spat out her yogurt disdainfully, closed her eyes, and quietly listened to the sound of rain outside. She lay lazily on the sofa, wanting to rest for a while, feeling sleepy.

Ye Qing'er went to the bathroom to freshen up. Catching the scent of milk in the air, she gazed dazedly at the handsome man standing before the pot.

A smile touched the corner of her mouth. She gently locked the kitchen door and quietly walked over.

Ye Qing'er stood behind Chen Yi and suddenly wrapped her arms around his waist, pressing a pair of lively "bunnies" tightly against his back. Her warm red lips brushed against his exquisite earlobe.

Breathing warmly, she whispered softly, "Xiao Yi, what are you making for breakfast? It smells so good. I'm so hungry~"

"Sister Qing'er, we're having ham, bread, and milk millet porridge this morning. Wait for the water in the pot to boil, then we can eat."

Chen Yi's face gradually flushed reddish. He could clearly feel the warm, soft pressure against his back and smell Sister Qing'er's sweet, warm breath.

His body stiffened slightly. My earlobe is tingling… and I'm still a bit uncomfortable. Being molested by a woman…
