There was a large kingdom at the edge of a shore and castle that stood high and large in the middle of the kingdom. The region was split into different areas, having there own parts that seperated the classes.
There three classes the working class, the wealthy, the nobles, and royalty. The working class was the status of the poor in the kingdom, if a family or anyone started to fall in the working class, they would be soon crushed from economic pressure that the higher classes put on them.
The wealthy were expected to help out the working class, but most wouldn't, they were focused of trying to kept their life going smooth. Most wealthy people knew that they lived a well off life from suffering, also knew that they can't life live a life as fancy or smooth as the nobles. Wealthy people tried keeping the financial situation as smooth as possible trying to avoid. Some did help them, they tried keeping the economy afloat, they gave many working class families houses they started charities and even pushed even more wealthy families to support but to no avail. Many wealthy people understood that they this kingdom's economy was going to hell, and there was no way to stop it.
The nobles lived a life of luxury pretty much the best life one could have, way off than wealthy could ever be, the only thing that lived better than them was royalty. Nobles have the power to influence or even speak a word to the king and queen directly about politics and the nation.
Many nobles started many foundations and organizations to help of the lower class as though to keep the economy stable enough where it struggles to live instead of dying, of course without an economy to ride on they wouldn't remain nobles for long.
Many protest and even riots from both wealthy and working class. Many wealthy people were greedy of the nobles and some were asking for better financial freedom, of course the latter was the smaller half; many working class wanted the king to do something about the nobles abuse of power and lack a helping for the lower class, many of the power abuse was targeted at both wealthy and working but it significantly harmed the working class more.
The king was a icon a trademark of the kingdom, someone who sits on the throne and little more. The king had most power over international and national news outlets, essentially he can control the image of the kingdom, this allowed him to fight back against the power of the parliament. The king king had the option to declare war and reject laws but this had its own limits.
Many members of the parliament worked with nobles or forced to worked with. Many nobles had a interest in controlling national decisions and political moves, but there were some with who have little to no interest in politics, and if they no they would rumors, make up specific laws, or even trying silencing them by force or blackmail. Since making laws can be rejected by the king or it just being a big move that could impact associates of theirs they rarely did such a move, but the threat was still there.
Many riots and protest occurred in the last fifty years of the kingdom, some where successful, some were not. Many of the years people of the Astrol kingdom have experienced radical laws, quite a bit of them where rejected by the king, but terrible laws made it through ruining the lives of many citizens. Some laws where also stop by the king chokeholding how the king controls the image of the kingdom.
Parliament and nobles found a way to loop around that, through controlling services, from their companies, they couldn't control the any news services or broadcasts as much as the king could but they could spread words about the king though the companies they owned, like through products, packaging, algorithm, or just pressing word down the chain.
So the king had a chock hold over the international and national news but they had completely domination over services.
Yes there laws placed on the kingdom when it was originally found 100 years ago, that made it hard to mock or control royalty but over the years more and more power swayed in parliaments favor.
…
In a lecture of a school of that royalty and nobles attend was 4 kids, one of the kids was a 14 year old kid, with brown hair and eyes.
He was wearing a school uniform it a black shirts covered by a dark blue vest with a medallion of a castle and two swords crossing each other symbolizing the school "purpose" and black pants.
He sat at the very back while the other tree kids sat closer the man who was teaching them.
They were in survival and magic history class, he was writing a poem, not paying attention to the class.
The teacher quietly approached the kid writing poetry, he was so quiet it was like he was floating on air, the teacher was going to the outskirts of the rather large lecture hall.
Many kids saw payed attention to the teacher approaching the kid. The teacher walked faster the most people, he kept his back straight and composed, like a composer.
He quietly pulled out a chair besides him and sat down besides. The teacher spoke with playful sarcasm as he rested his hand on his palm.
"Looks so cool!! what is it? Is it a poem? Marcus Coldern"
The woke up from entrance like state, from clear shock and looked at the man with long jet black hair and blue eyes looked at him while having a playful smile. It was a look as if he was looking at a predator that mainly hunted humans, any type of them. The predator wore calmest and playful expression made buy man.
He was wearing a black suit and tie with cherry blossom on the side of the suit. The school symbol on the other side of the suit, this was the uniform for the staff had to wear.
'Shit!'
"Come one I wanna see what's so interesting about it, come on show me."
He turned his head to see a handsome man looking at him.
"Sir Henry, I was just writing down notes!!"
"Well I wanna see your progress, give it." He demanded while reaching out his hand that was holding his head up.
"Ok" he said while giving the paper to him
'I hate you'
"Obsession and perseverance aren't not same
Perseverance is the weapon and kindness of man, it helps them push through sacrifice, helping them acknowledge their mistakes and correct themselves. Perseverance can be used to help the goal of the selected obsession but it is not obsession.
Obsession is a unrelenting drive to not stop, obsessions can be good or bad, depending on the selected subject, but when you have an obsession you walk through a tunnel. You can only see forward not sides to side, this leads to many people to destroy and drown their mistakes, not help them.
Obsession helps you preserve through times get hard, yes but no man should focus on one thing, it will eventually damage you, doesn't matter if socially, if your trying to survive, or trying to do something better."
"Be it if it was reading, poetry, loving, hating; they will of damage you in someway, sometimes it won't even help you in the way you first intended, you will become a fool who strives chasing to be better or who you were once before. When some are too deep they'll claim it's there anchor something they're know really well, something that forms most of their personality, truly it's a deadly trap, but one we can all escape, we have to persevere to realize our mistakes and push through them"
"Hmm.. good speech, but what does it have to do with this class?"
"If you liked philosophy you should've chose a different class"
The other 3 kids wore different expressions, one was shocked, one was a blanked expression, and the other kept a smirk.
Marcus was stiff as a board from embarrassment, trying to keep a straight face.
Marcus wanted to say something, but he knew it would probably get him sent to the administrators office, so he dared not say anything, especially to this teacher.
"Sorry Sir, It was a thing a was finishing"
Henry looked back at the paper with curiousness.
"Hmmm… interesting speech, it's different from your poems, did you decide to switch?"
"Yes Sir"
"Please Sir can I have my paper back"
"You'll get it at the end of the class"
"Ok"
"Get to work" he walked the nearby stairs and approached his podium.
Marcus stayed quiet, he didn't feel want to respond back, causing the conversation to last even a second longer.
Henry leaned on his podium and said "now that's done, let's talk about the exams"
