The horse was standing in front of the storage room, as Cole walked towards it. It was brown and ugly. Admiring the horse, he hopped onto it and it swung it's tail. He took a deep breath and swung the rope that was tied around the neck of the horse and Tucker (which was the horse's name) trotted off, towards the gate.
She accelerated forward and finally met with the cars
"Pretty fast, right??" Percy asked, as Cole came across them in the traffic, waiting for the red light to beam green.
"Yh!" He tapped Tucker and she slowed down. "This's the Animal's Route, right??" Cole asked
"I think so!"
Cole removed his hand from the control rope.
"Did you take another route?. Cause I didn't see you following us earlier" Mr. Mason asked Cole
"Er!... I followed a quick route" He answered.
It was then he remembered that he hasn't checked the Map Percy had sent to him earlier. He bought out his phone from his pocket to check the Map and it read thus:
11:21 AM
From Montana Dolphin house
To California, Big Sur
He then saw a green straight line and a little red dot, almost at the end of the green line, where it was written 'California, Big Sur'. He then kept his phone back in the pocket.
Suddenly, he saw a Man — A Skeleton-like Man, walking towards the traffic. He watched how the people around criticized him, calling him all sort of names — Mad Man, Beggar..... But Cole would agree with that. He was like a Mad Man or a Mad Man either. He wore rags — Dirty rags stained with grease. He staggered past all the Cars in the traffic, looking at them with curiosity. When he got to Cole, he looked him with his red eyes, as Tucker sniffed him and said
"Mr. Man, would you please lend me something to feed?"
Cole then gave him a Dollar.
"Ouch!. The sun is burning my skin. Off to the burrows!" The Man muttered and ran off.
Cole would say the Man was insane — like he had Mental problems but he just ignored him
"You've just wasted your money, giving it to that rascal" Kevin exclaimed
"He was out of money!" Cole tried to defend himself
"Still, you aren't supposed to give him money when the U.S government has announced an end to Begging!"
"You are Joking!"
"You haven't heard the news. Hold on!"
"Hey!. Please, I want the lastest news on board!" Kevin shouted at a Newspaper guy, in a Newspaper dock by the side of the road. The dark guy, holding two newspapers, ran toward the car. Kevin paid for it and handed one of them over to Cole. It read thus:
The Banks Newspaper
Politics
Jake Williams, the U.S President has signed it into law that begging should be prohibited and any able being seen begging shall face the penalties.
To stop begging, he also employed 90% of U.S Unemployed citizens with paid jobs and specialization of....
The traffic light interrupted his reading, as all the Car began to drive off.
"The Newspaper!" Cole shouted, as he let the whirlwind take it away from his palm. Kevin caught a glimpse of it in no time.
"We are gonna get there before you!!" Kevin exclaimed
"All your Money!" He added
Cole waited patiently for the Beast's traffic light to beam green. Immediately it beamed green, he swung the rope and Tucker began the journey, but they took another curve to the right. He took out his phone with his left hand and began to observe the Map. With his right hand, which was still on the rope, he took another turn into a woodland. The green straight line on the phone made a curve, similar to a Letter 'C ' which was upside down and the red little dot was at the beginning of the Curve. He kept his phone and focused on riding, swinging his hand left and right, dodging the leaves on the trees and over grown branches.
