Chapter 1 - A Human Bank

"I'm coming", Allen said as he was coming to open the door for his dad.

Allen saw a suitcase in his dad's hands, one that looked pumped and bigger than usual.

"We're RICH", Allen's dad shouted excitedly as Allen opened the door, frightening him. "What?" Allen asked in confusion. "So we have money?"

"No, we have lots of money."

Allen and his father are known for one thing, poverty. Like, even poor people call him poor. The last time his father was in debt, he had to go round the community, begging for money in every street. In school Allen barely ate lunch twice a week. But that was the old days. Suddenly, from begging for money, they are living in a massive mansion almost 50 times bigger than their other house. At least now he had more money to make machines, but still couldn't show them to anyone. Allen was smart, very smart, but also very shy. He was the bullied kid at school and home wasn't any difference either. But now maybe people would give him more respect, just maybe.

"WOW, it's so big", Allen said, almost drooling from the size of the house as he stood in front of it. "And beautiful." His younger sister Ava, added.

"Allen, tell the workers to take the new furniture inside", His mother said.

"Okay mom."

"Um, excuse me sirs, my mum said you guys…"

"We know." They said coldly.

As they were moving, one of them pushed Allen to the floor.

"Hey! That was rude." Allen said silently as he stood up.

"Ah. Can you smell that fresh scent?" Ava asked. "You better get used to that." Her mother said, also admiring the scent as both of them entered inside along with the workers, leaving Allen and his dad outside alone.

"Um, dad, by the way, how did you get all this money?" He asked his dad who was also looking at the massiveness of the house, smiling and drooling the same way Allen was earlier.

Suddenly, his smile disappeared. "You don't need to know that. And don't even try." He said the last sentence like it would cost him his life if he knew.

As Allen entered the house, he saw his sister running around the large passage way that led to the garden. Allen stepped into the house in awe as his feet could feel the cool temperature of the floor, even though he was wearing shoes. "Look how big the kitchen is!!!" His sister shouted from a distant. Allen looked up, seeing shiny orange lights, which was just a chandelier. He had never seen one before.

"Honey, how did you even get all this money?" Allen's mom inquired. It was the same question Allen asked earlier. "It was from a…a new job." Allen's dad said looking anxious. "What job?" His mom snapped back. "It was a construction job, down the street."

"You know construction?" Ava said.

Silence. His dad just went upstairs to his room.

"Well that was shocking." Allen said. "I've never seen dad like that."

"Come on, let's go upstairs and see our rooms." Ava said.

"Yeah, sure" Allen replied.

The next day, Allen and Ava left for school with a brand new limo.

"So Allen, how much did you borrow to get this, hope you won't come crying to my dad for money when it's time to pay up?" Jake, a master class bully, and Allen's classmate said, mocking Allen as a 'warm greeting' into the school premises.

"No, I won't, and for all the times you've called me poor, I'll just, let it slide by."

Allen brought out $50,000 from his bag and flexed it on his face. Jake opened his mouth in amazement and Allen stuffed everything in his mouth, just in time to stop him from drooling.

"Here, eat up." Allen said in a naïve way.

Everyone laughed at Jake, seeing the way he reacted as Allen passed by. All other bullies dared not to disrespect him because they knew what level of disgrace they would get, if he could do that to one of their head bullies, Jake, which was also one of the richest in the school.

Allen is a little late for the first class, but if he is compared to his old self, he is extremely early.

"And that is what we call cellular… Wait, my eyes! MY EYES!!" Mrs. Christie, the Biology class teacher had said after she felt something was wrong with her eyes."

"Mrs. Christie, Mrs. Christie what's wrong?" The class asked, almost in unison.

"I'm seeing Allen at the door, but this is only 7:00 AM, I need to go to a doctor." Mrs. Christie said, a little less frightened.

"Um, it is Allen at the door, Mrs. Christie." A student said, looking for approval from other students, hoping she also didn't have eye problems.

"Yeah, Mrs. Christie, it's him." Another student said as approval.

"It's a miracle…Allen is that you?" Mrs. Christie asked. "Good morning class." Allen greeted.

"Good morning Allen, you're a bit early today, you must have woke up 2:00AM." Mrs. Christie said.

"Um, Actually…" Allen was cut short. "Let's just go on with class." Mrs. Christie interrupted. "Okay." Allen said, a little bit annoyed.

Classes continue until school ends and Allen and his sister are picked up to go home.

[At dinner]

"Allen, how as you're day at school?" his dad asked.

"Oh, it was great, I finally stood up to the class' head bully, Jake." Allen said triumphantly.

"That one you've always been crying about?" his mom said, teasing him. The house laughed.

[Later in the evening]

"Okay, time to go to sleep." Allen's mom said. "Ava, drop your tablet and go to sleep, it's late." She repeated.

"Okay." Ava said, a little sad. "And remember to put a cup of water beside you in bed." Ava's mom continued. "And you too Allen."

Allen didn't take water to bed, he was too tired and already felt sleepy.

[At midnight, everyone is sleeping, in their respective rooms, Allen wakes up]

"I'm thirsty." He said to himself trying to get the glass of water from the side table near his bed, forgetting he didn't put any.

He hits his head with his hand, "Oh I forgot."

He goes downstairs to the kitchen, but on his way down, he spots a man wearing black, just going out of the house.

His eyes quickly widened, "Hey, THIEF!!!" But no one heard him, not even the man. So he ran after him. He saw him go out through the garden which led to the back door, so he hid behind a bush, ready to pin him down to the floor. He wore a black cloth with a hoodie that looked like a reaper's cloth. Immediately he was near him, he pinned him down the floor, and removed the hoodie to see his face, and he was shocked when he saw the man.

"Dad?"
