Bella's POV
Jasper finally realized this wasn't the right spot to argue with Dolores, especially right outside the police station.
His forehead creased into deep lines as he shot me a murderous look, clearly blaming me for his current mess.
His annoyance was practically radiating off him in waves.
He obviously thought this whole disaster was my fault.
Jasper fixed me with another death glare, but I stared right back at him without flinching. "What's with the staring, Jasper? I didn't create this chaos—the real troublemaker is wrapped up in your arms right now."
I sucked in a theatrical breath, pretending to be shocked as I needled him further. "You and Ivy are being pretty bold with your public displays of affection. Aren't you concerned about what people might say?"
While nobody was brave enough to crowd around the police station entrance, Lucius was still standing there watching everything unfold.
