Victor wondered: How will the training be tomorrow? His eyes carried a strong determination. Nicholas looked into his eyes and noticed that determination. Nicholas smiled, then laughed and said to Nicholas: "Why not train him now?"
Willem answered his question, saying: "Do you know that training is hard? Training requires more mental strength than physical strength; it needs a little rest and the use of his mind properly."
Then Willem looked at Victor and said: "Why don't you go to the library and read some books?"
Victor replied: "Why should I read books?" Then Willem said: "Reading is useful, and reading makes you strong." He also said: "You want training, and this is your first training session."
Victor said in an annoyed voice: "Alright."
Then Victor asked: "Which book do you recommend?"
Willem replied: "Read the book 'The Fools'." "Oh, right, I forgot to tell you something. It consists of 300 pages and is divided into three parts. I want you to read it all in two days, and after that we will start the real training. This is just a test for you. Do not forget not to push yourself too hard; take breaks."
Victor smiled: "Alright, my teacher, do not worry, I will do as you asked." Then he went to the library with confident steps. He entered the library and began searching for the book "The Fools" among the tall wooden shelves made of mahogany. For a long time, the shelves were like walls of knowledge, some towering so high that they almost touched the ceiling.
He picked up the book and admired its leather cover embroidered with golden threads. A faint light from a crystal chandelier fell on his shoulders as he bent silently over the open pages in front of him. The air was filled with the scent of old paper and warm wood, and silence hung over the place like a heavy curtain, with nothing audible except the slow sound of turning pages.
While Victor was absorbed in reading, Willem quietly opened the library door and looked around. He saw him immersed in his reading, his face happy and smiling. Willem said to himself: "You are learning at an astonishing speed, truly remarkable. You... the wonderful Victor." Then he said: "Tirnal was right to rely on you when he told me to teach you," and he quietly closed the door.
He went to the living room to talk to his friend Nicholas, and Nicholas was drinking coffee that smelled wonderful. Willem could smell it from afar. Willem entered the living room and told Nicholas that Victor was amazing and had not disappointed him. Nicholas replied: "Alright, sit down and let's drink the coffee."
Victor sat on his chair, and his friend Nicholas handed him a cup of coffee. He took a sip and said to Nicholas: "Your coffee is wonderful, but let's talk about the evil organizations and their narrow-mindedness."
As you know, Victor is still a beginner, but he will learn quickly within a few days. I say this because I saw him today when I asked him to read the book. He began reading the book happily.
Nicholas replied: "Do not worry, I will help you with training tomorrow. Go tomorrow and find the rest of the group and tell them what we saw today. And do not worry too much about Victor's training tomorrow. Leave it to me. Teach him how to use the necklace and the skills you have learned in previous years."
Willem replied: "Alright. You are an expert in fighting, and you can teach him a lot. Move tomorrow and find the rest of the companions. We must plan carefully for our school so that these evil organizations can be eliminated forever."
At that time, Victor was still reading the book, completely absorbed in its fascinating subject to the point that he forgot about the training he had been thinking about all day, and he became immersed in the words and pages of the book. He was reading aloud because he was always trying to save the lambs from the wolf and failing, so they called him the fool. People did not understand, and they judged him from the first attempt, but he kept trying and trying and did not let the harsh words and insults of people affect him. He tries to save them because he loves to do good without expecting anything in return and loves to make people happy.
Victor was moved by these words, and a tear fell on the pages of the book, and he said: "What a book! I have never read it before, and I have learned many things from it." Finally, he completed the first fifty pages quickly. "Ah, I feel sleepy. Willem would not blame me if I took a nap. How tired I am."
He slept quietly on his chair, and he did not know until Willem returned to check on him. He brought him a meal for tomorrow, opened the door quietly, and saw Victor immersed in sleep. He placed the plate of food on the table and carried it carefully toward Victor's room. The door was open. He placed Victor on his bed, covered him with a blanket, and left the room, closing the door quietly.
