Chapter 21 - Photographic Memory

Ye Wanwan stood quietly in place, her face betraying no expression.

Only Si Xia, who was closest to her, noticed that the instant Liang Lihua mentioned her parents, a terrifying chill had exploded in the girl's usually timid, numb eyes—like ice suddenly cracking open.

The boy's brows furrowed slightly, a trace of doubt flashing in his gaze. An illusion? How could this ugly freak possibly have eyes like that…

After a brief silence, Ye Wanwan spoke unhurriedly. "So that's how it is. Like parents, like children… Then may I also say—like teacher, like students? Class F is the worst-performing class in the entire school. I wonder, Teacher Liang, how does that make you feel?"

"You… you're outrageous!" Liang Lihua's voice cracked with fury.

This damn girl actually dared to mock her teaching ability!

Class F's abysmal results had always been her sore spot.

Inside the classroom, every student was stunned.

Holy shit…

This Ye Wanwan was actually talking back to the homeroom teacher again and again…

Was this still the same Ye Wanwan who wouldn't utter a single word no matter how harshly she was scolded?

Liang Lihua gave a cold laugh. "Ye Wanwan, do you really think I can't do anything about you? I could have you thrown out of Qinghe High School's gates right this instant!"

Ye Wanwan looked at her with a half-smile. "How could that be? Teacher Liang is so capable—how could someone like you possibly be stumped by a mere student?"

Ye Wanwan deliberately emphasized the words "so capable," clearly alluding to Liang Lihua's improper relationship with the school leadership.

Sure enough, Liang Lihua's expression changed at once.

Even though Ye Wanwan had no proof and no one would believe her words, if the girl spouted nonsense like this in public, someone with an agenda might actually look into it. Especially since that person's wife was also a teacher at the school…

This damn girl actually dared to threaten her!

*DING LING LING—*

At that moment, the bell for the start of class rang, breaking the tense standoff.

Liang Lihua's face darkened as she snapped, "The exam is only one week away, and because of you alone, we almost delayed the entire class! Ye Wanwan, I'll settle the score with you later!"

Fine. This girl would be gone in a few days anyway—no need to blow things up here.

"Everyone turn your textbooks to page seventy-two!"

Seeing that the show was over, the students below let out disappointed sighs.

Senior year was spent cycling through one exam after another. This upcoming diagnostic test was a relatively important one—the seating chart would be rearranged based on the rankings.

Ye Wanwan's gaze swept casually over the contents of the textbook before she closed her eyes.

The next second, everything she had just seen was clearly etched into her mind.

In truth, her memory was extraordinary.

Any knowledge in the textbooks—as long as she looked at it once, even without truly processing it—she would remember every single word perfectly.

It was a pity that in her previous life, grades and scores had meant nothing to Ye Wanwan. Her thoughts had never been on studying.

If she wanted the school to retract the expulsion decision, this exam was the key.

One week of review time was a bit rushed, but it would be enough to handle this test.
