Chapter 18 - Kaguya Jinchūriki

"I hope my Kaguya Jinchūriki plan can succeed."

Thinking about the Kaguya Jinchūriki plan he had envisioned, Tamura Zairo felt nothing but anticipation.

His earlier proposal—sealing part of the Eight-Tails' flesh to create a low-grade jinchūriki—had only been a secondary idea. What he truly wanted was to become either a Ten-Tails Jinchūriki or a Ōtsutsuki Kaguya Jinchūriki.

Becoming a Ten-Tails Jinchūriki was unrealistic. That path required Ōtsutsuki blood and was filled with overwhelming dangers.

So instead, his plan was to artificially cultivate an Ōtsutsuki Kaguya.

Kaguya was the true origin of chakra in the ninja world. By nature, she possessed absolute suppression over all chakra in existence—unless one stood at the level of the Sage of Six Paths.

If he could successfully cultivate a Kaguya entity, then perhaps through a jinchūriki-style sealing technique, he could gain access to Kaguya's powers.

After all, jinchūriki could draw on their tailed beasts' abilities—including bloodline limits.

And Kaguya's bloodline abilities were vastly superior to those of tailed beasts. They were all top-tier Kekkei Mōra. Obtaining even one would be an enormous gain.

This method was far more stable and reliable than transplantation—such as implanting Sharingan.

The source of the Sharingan was Kaguya's Rinne Sharingan. Tamura Zairo couldn't directly assimilate Sharingan ocular power, nor did he have the bloodline to transform his own eyes into Sharingan.

But Ōtsutsuki Kaguya could.

She could perfectly absorb the Sharingan's power, and through her, Tamura Zairo could indirectly obtain its abilities.

This was essentially a man-made cheat—and nobody ever complained about having too many cheats.

Just look at the two protagonists of the ninja world:

Uchiha Sasuke: Sharingan, Curse Mark of Heaven, brother buffs, Indra's chakra, Yin power from the Sage of Six Paths—one cheat stacked on another.Uzumaki Naruto: Uzumaki clan chakra reserves, lifelong Nine-Tails buff, Asura chakra base, Sage Mode, chakra from all nine tailed beasts, Yang power from the Sage of Six Paths—each more outrageous than the last.

In this world, surviving without cheats was impossible.

His own cheat wasn't as overpowered as something like Deep Blue, so he had no choice but to build one artificially.

Without hesitation, he continued.

He fed the remaining Sharingan ocular power into the Kaguya phantom, allowing her to refine it. Finally, he did the same with the piece of Eight-Tails flesh.

Kaguya's phantom did not disappoint—she devoured and refined everything successfully.

"Next comes acquiring the most perfect sealing technique… and becoming a Kaguya Jinchūriki!"

Tamura Zairo was thrilled. His path to invincibility had taken its first true step.

"Where did Madara Uchiha obtain the Six Paths: Ten-Tails Coffin Seal?"

Thinking of how Obito and Madara used the Six Paths: Ten-Tails Coffin Seal during the Fourth Great Ninja War, Tamura Zairo desperately wanted that technique.

The ninja world had many sealing techniques capable of sealing tailed beasts—even ones that could seal the Nine-Tails.

But their limits were clear.

He needed a perfect sealing technique.

And the strongest of them all was undoubtedly the Six Paths: Ten-Tails Coffin Seal, capable of sealing the fully complete Ten-Tails.

Although Kaguya's phantom currently had no independent consciousness, that might not remain true forever. Even with his golden finger, relying on that alone wasn't safe.

He needed absolute control.

"Most likely, there are only three possibilities," Tamura Zairo reasoned.

Madara derived it from studying the Rinnegan and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.Black Zetsu secretly taught him.It was obtained from the Uchiha clan's stone tablet.

"The Uchiha stone tablet is the easiest target."

Someday, when the opportunity arose, he could go to Konoha, take it, and leave with it entirely.

With the golden finger's power, even if something was hidden inside, it could probably suppress it.

Moreover, the tablet required increasingly advanced Sharingan to read deeper content. It was likely created by the Sage of Six Paths using Yin–Yang Release—possibly even infused with Rinnegan ocular power.

A genuine treasure.

"Still, getting that tablet won't be easy. It's inside Konoha, within the Uchiha clan compound. Right now, there's no way to infiltrate it."

Even disguise techniques were useless—Uchiha Sharingan were not blind.

"That's too far off. Right now, the priority is strengthening the Kaguya phantom until it can independently refine the imprints inside chakra."

Refocusing, Tamura Zairo sensed the still-motionless Kaguya phantom and withdrew his consciousness from the dark mental space.

Previously, he had relied on the fragment's power to forcibly separate and crush those chakra imprints—at the cost of destiny power.

That wasn't sustainable.

He needed Kaguya's phantom to grow strong enough to handle those imprints on its own.

"Sharingan contain a stronger Kaguya imprint—especially three-tomoe Sharingan. Mangekyō-level ones would be even better."

He now understood clearly: he needed Sharingan—higher grade was better.

And this research division happened to have several.

"I wonder if Kumogakure can really pull off the tailed-beast fragment jinchūriki plan. If it works, that's a massive contribution. Asking for a few Sharingan afterward wouldn't be excessive."

Besides, Kumogakure had never made much progress researching Sharingan. Their value to the village was steadily declining.

With that thought, Tamura Zairo left the resting room—and found Tsuchidai waiting outside.

"Tsuchidai-sama!"

"Did you gain anything?"

Tsuchidai was smiling broadly. After presenting the idea earlier, the Third Raikage had immediately taken it seriously and personally joined discussions to revise the jinchūriki plan.

Tsuchidai himself was only here as a shadow clone—his real body was still with the Raikage.

"I tried absorbing and refining Sharingan ocular power. It's extremely difficult. I need more Sharingan."

Tamura Zairo stated his request directly.

Judging by Tsuchidai's expression, the earlier proposal had clearly been accepted. That was a major achievement.

So—asking for some Sharingan was reasonable.

"It seems you've made progress," Tsuchidai said, smiling even wider.

They had researched Sharingan for years—even secretly ambushed Uchiha ninja on missions to seize their eyes.

Yet all those efforts had yielded nothing.

And now this boy had found a breakthrough.

"I have some ideas and hypotheses—but I also need the power of the Senju clan," Tamura Zairo added.

"Wait outside."

Tsuchidai glanced toward the researchers inside the lab and motioned for Tamura Zairo to leave first.

If these researchers still couldn't produce results, Tsuchidai would request the Raikage to shut down the project entirely and reassign the personnel.

As for the unused Sharingan—

They would be awarded to the boy.

That was only fair.

After all, the strongest ones here were only three-tomoe Sharingan—far inferior to legendary eyes like Madara's.

While Sharingan could be transplanted, they were useless for top-tier shinobi and too draining for those below.

In the end, they were little more than expensive burdens.
