Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Aeon of Destruction Blocks the Door (Part 3)

Darkness gradually enveloped everything.

The last trace of scenery vanished completely.

Zeig only felt his vision blur. The next moment, he found himself in his consciousness space.

The figure of the white-haired man stood clearly before him.

He was a strand of consciousness split from Nanook—essentially a clone.

"This is your mental world," the Nanook clone said, looking around.

Suddenly, the entire space brightened.

It was a cosmos, but not the same as the one in the Nanook clone's memory.

"You will forever bid farewell to this scenery."

Having one's consciousness invaded by an Aeon was essentially a death sentence with no chance of survival.

"Why do you keep chasing me to kill me?" Zeig's face looked extremely grim.

With his current strength, why would Nanook, an Aeon, target him so relentlessly?

In the end, he was just a first-order Emanator-level little brother.

Did he really deserve such high-spec treatment?

The Nanook clone spoke slowly:

"You are a threat. That is all."

"I can threaten you?"

Zeig did want to kill the Aeon of Destruction, but that was something for later.

There was no reason for Him to split off a strand of consciousness right now just to block him.

"You have already changed many things. I cannot allow a variable like you to continue living."

An ancient aura slowly spread from around the Nanook clone, sweeping toward the entire consciousness space.

He intended to destroy even this place.

"Some people were supposed to die, but because of you, they lived. Some people were supposed to part, but because of you, they stayed together forever."

The Nanook clone's gaze grew deeper.

"The endpoint of all things must be destruction. Yet you can alter cause and effect. I can no longer allow you to grow."

"Huh? So that's how it is." After listening, Zeig suddenly seemed deep in thought.

He really could change the world—even the Aeon of Destruction said so.

Then, he suddenly started laughing.

"Hahahaha… So that's it."

His eyes sharpened. "In other words, I really can change many things, right?"

"As long as I act, as long as my strength is sufficient, I can turn this imperfect world into whatever I want it to be."

"How wonderful…"

Zeig's laughter grew increasingly manic, as if he were thrilled to have this confirmed.

The Nanook clone watched Zeig's increasingly crazed expression and couldn't help but be moved.

What exactly did this person want to change?

He had only gained consciousness because of the Stellaron.

Could someone like him also have his own desires?

Zeig's laughter abruptly stopped. His voice hoarse, he said:

"Aeon of Destruction, you and your Path… are truly a scourge."

Zeig slowly raised his head, his golden pupils burning fiercely.

"Do you know how many people have died at the hands of your Antimatter Legion? They had families, children. Then suddenly, a great catastrophe wiped them all into dust. No one cared about their cries; no one heard their screams. Those people… did they all owe something to your Path?"

His smile grew more deranged.

Even the Nanook clone's expression couldn't help but darken.

"If you really have the ability, go kill the other Aeons… What kind of skill is it to use the Antimatter Legion to slaughter the weak and defenseless?"

"Let me tell you." Zeig's gaze grew even more feverish. "Since you're determined to take my life today, I'll let you see… just how far a human… can struggle!"

The Nanook clone remained calm, his eyes like an ancient well without ripples.

"You cannot defeat me. This consciousness space will become your prison."

"Heh haha, that's perfect!"

While speaking confidently, Zeig frantically urged on his imaginary energy.

In an instant, the entire space experienced massive upheaval. Even the Nanook clone slightly frowned.

"You've gone mad? You're actively collapsing your own consciousness space."

"That's right—didn't see that coming, did you?!"

Zeig spread his arms, letting every cell in his body tear apart continuously. The pain of ten thousand ants devouring his heart made his golden eyes grow even more crazed.

"Heh hahaha… Maybe just as you said, I'm dead either way—so why don't we play big?!"

In an instant, Zeig's presence exploded with overwhelming might. In the crumbling consciousness space, he finally reached his peak!

At this moment, his gaze burned like torches. Golden veins flowed through his entire body. The Judgment of Shamash greatsword in his hand erupted with even fiercer sharpness.

Under Zeig's urging, its form evolved once more!

The bewitchingly crimson long sword was gripped tightly in his hand. The surrounding space flickered in and out of existence due to its terrifying, boundless power.

The instant he raised the longsword, the blade emitted a terrifying hum.

"Come! Let me see how you plan to put me to death!"

With those words.

Zeig flashed forward in an instant, appearing before the Nanook clone.

The Nanook clone tried to use his power to block, only to discover that something seemed to be restricting him.

"Hm? Why…"

In that brief moment of daze.

Zeig's golden eyes focused. The Judgment of Shamash in its apocalyptic form swung down fiercely!

"Boom—!!"

In an instant, the entire cosmos seemed to explode like a supernova.

Flames soared into the sky; raging fire swept unchecked.

All the floating asteroids around them turned to ash in that moment.

One of the Nanook clone's arms was blasted away under his shocked gaze, reduced to dust.

The entire space echoed with that terrifying blazing light.

"What's wrong? Weren't you going to kill me? Where'd your arm go?" Amid the flames, Zeig attacked again, killing intent overflowing. Another sword strike was about to land on the Nanook clone's body.

Seeing this, the Nanook clone hurriedly raised his remaining broken arm to block.

"Boom—!!"

Another earth-shattering roar. Ferocious flames swallowed everything like a black hole.

The Nanook clone didn't understand what was happening. He didn't understand why this human suddenly possessed such power.

His eyes nearly split from rage.

His broken body was sent flying downward toward a blue planet below.

In his eyes was reflected that fire stretching across the entire galaxy.

He could hardly believe it.

"You… why…" he choked out.

"You're pretty tough!"

The next moment, Zeig smashed another fist into the Nanook clone's face.

"Bang—!!"

His face twisted from the impact; his entire body fell like a meteor.

He crashed onto the deck of a warship, kicking up a massive cloud of dust.

Amid the smoke and dust.

The Nanook clone rose in a sorry state, standing on the already charred deck, looking warily at Zeig in the sky like facing a great enemy.

At this moment, Zeig's golden pupils burned fiercely. The killing intent on his face was clearly visible without any concealment.

In the instant the Nanook clone was dazed, Zeig somehow appeared behind him again. One hand pressed against his head and slammed it down toward the deck below!

"Boom—!!"

The blow was heavy and unstoppable, directly smashing through the deck. The momentum didn't slow at all.

"Bang bang bang bang bang—!!"

His body continuously shattered dozens of steel plates. The Nanook clone felt his frame coming apart, intense pain radiating through him.

He fell through the ceiling and crashed hard onto the floor.

This place seemed like a dormitory. On a desk in the corner were many group photos.

Zeig revealed a crazed look in his eyes. He grabbed the Nanook clone's hair again, lifting him like a dead dog.

Killing intent surging, he said: "You actually fell here—of all places. You're pretty lucky!"

The Nanook clone remained silent. He tried to counterattack, but his body was once again uncontrollably smashed into the wall.

Another series of continuous crashes through alloy steel plates.

"Bang bang bang bang bang—!!"

His body suffered another chain of heavy blows. He didn't know how many alloy plates he destroyed before stopping.

When he opened his eyes again, his face was completely ruined. Half of it was stark white bone, clearly visible.

The thoroughly battered figure was grabbed by the hair by Zeig, firmly restrained.

Ahead, a massive power furnace slowly operated. The huge gears around it spun rapidly, seemingly supplying energy to this warship.

"Look, that's the Hyperion's power system. How about it? The gears are pretty, right? Why don't you try them too!"

Zeig suddenly grabbed the Nanook clone's head and pressed it toward the rapidly spinning gears!

"Zzzzt zzzzt zzzzt—!!"

The high-speed gears acted like a meat grinder, frantically grinding and devouring half of the Nanook clone's face, sparking massively!

The intense pain replayed endlessly.

At this moment.

The clone finally couldn't hold back. Facing the sky, he roared at the top of his lungs:

"This isn't right… It's you—the Aeon of Elation! What the hell are you trying to do—!!"
