Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Fifty Grand

Mr. Li's screams echoed through the room as Chi Chengzhou began to cut, the sharp knife slicing through flesh and bone with ease. Blood sprayed across the polished table, staining the once-pristine surface a deep crimson.

The other men in the room watched in horror, their faces pale and sweaty. Some looked away, unable to bear the sight of such brutal violence, while others stared transfixed, their eyes wide with a mixture of fear and morbid fascination.

Chi Chengzhou worked methodically, his movements precise and calculated. He severed one finger at a time, dropping each bloody appendage onto the table with a soft thud.

"That's 100 million," he commented calmly, as if keeping score.

Mr. Li's screams grew louder and more desperate with each passing moment. His body convulsed in pain, tears streaming down his face as he begged for mercy.

But Chi Chengzhou showed no pity. He continued his gruesome task until all five fingers lay scattered on the table, Mr. Li's hand nothing more than a bloody stump.

Only then did he step back, wiping the knife clean on Mr. Li's suit jacket before handing it back to the waiting bodyguard.

Chi Chengzhou walked outside and sat inside the the black porch. His two right hand men were in the car with him and his driver was also there.

"Boss, they are people following."

"Lose them," Chi Chengzhou said coldly.

The driver speed off as cars followed there were shots. When the car stopped Chi Chengzhou stepped out and saw the enemy group started to fight Chi Chengzhou who was a martial artist master as he fought and he ran straight toward the alleyway.

Chi Chengzhou's sharp eyes scanned the alleyway, assessing his options in a split second. He knew he had to act fast to shake off his pursuers. With a grunt of pain from the gunshot wound, he gripped his shoulder and pressed on.

"Hurry, split up and lead them off my trail," he ordered his men, his voice low and urgent.

The two henchmen nodded grimly, understanding the gravity of the situation. They peeled off in opposite directions, disappearing into the labyrinthine alleys of the city.

Chi Chengzhou took a deep breath, steeling himself for what was to come. He knew he had to put some distance between himself and his attackers, and fast. With a burst of adrenaline-fueled speed, he sprinted down the alleyway, his footsteps echoing off the narrow walls.

As he ran, he reached into his jacket with his uninjured arm and pulled out a small pistol. He knew it was unlikely he'd be able to outrun them for long, especially with a gunshot wound slowing him down.

At that moment he saw a door and the group of the enemy following he opened the door and he saw there was a guy about his age sitting at the back just eating noodles.

"Help me," Chi Chengzhou said. Seung-ho grabbed a chopstick and stopped him. He was not about to land himself back in juvenile detention no thanks he wants a break at the moment.

"Ask someone else."

"Fifty grand."

"You pretty boy! Stay out of this," a thug snapped at Seung-ho who looked at the handsome tall stranger and then at five men with guns and knives. Seung-ho touched himself then suddenly the system handed him a mission.

"I will help you bro; but I don't want fifty grand but one hundred grand," Seung-ho said.

"Fine!" Chi Chengzhou said as he hissed out in pain. He closed his eyes as he clenched his jaw tightly he was deeply wounded. The next moment Seung-ho turned around to finish his noodles.

"Wait a moment," he said to the thugs who didn't listen to Seung-ho but went to attack Chi Chengzhou who fought off the thugs. But he was still weak when he fought with the thugs since he was wounded. Seung-ho grabbed the chopstick and hit one of the thugs as he jumped the air kicked one of them another pointed a gun at Seung-ho who dismembered the gun so quickly. Even Seung-ho was shocked he kne how to do that.

Chi Chengzhou watched in awe as Seung-ho effortlessly dispatched the thugs with a skill and precision that belied his age. The young man moved with a grace and agility that was almost supernatural, his actions swift and decisive.

In mere moments, the five thugs lay unconscious on the floor, their weapons scattered around them. Seung-ho stood over them, panting slightly but otherwise unscathed.

Chi Chengzhou stared at him, a mix of gratitude and disbelief in his eyes.

"You... you saved me," he said weakly, leaning against the wall for support. "I owe you my life."

Seung-ho turned to face him, his expression unreadable.

"I did it for the money," he replied coldly.

"Don't mistake my actions for altruism."

Despite his words, there was a hint of something else in Seung-ho's eyes - a flicker of curiosity or perhaps interest. He looked at Chi Chengzhou's wound, noticing the blood seeping through his jacket.

"You're injured," Seung-ho observed.

"I have a first aid kit behind the counter. Wait here."

"Fuck there are more? Asshole," Seung-ho said as he grabbed the guy hand and they both ran along the alleyway as the thugs followed him. Seung-ho saw the motorcycle that was delivered by his father from America to South Korea. He got on and Chi Chengzhou also got on. Then Seung-ho speed off as others followed.

"Lose them now!" Chi Chengzhou said.

"Hey asshole! I am saving you! Not the other way around!" Seung-ho snapped coldly as he speed off and he turned his head as he grabbed silver needles and hit nine thugs within seconds.

After that he lost the rest of them and he parked at the gas station. Seung-ho walked inside the station bought a first aid kit and he looked at the stranger for a long time.

"Damn it, this is annoying handle yourself now pay me."

"I will have my people to transfer money to you. Give me your account number."

Seung-ho smiled sweetly.

"Am I an idiot? No thanks! Who are you too me? My dad? Give me cash."

"I don't have cash," Chi Chengzhou said as he looked at Seung-ho he found this young man was extremely handsome and truly beautiful.

"Oh so no cash how will you pay me?" Seung-ho asked.

"How about we go to my place."

"No!" Seung-ho said who knows who this man what if he is a drug dealer, a rich heir, or even a mafia heir? Yup he would lose his life before he can hello. Seung-ho stood up and looked at Chi Chengzhou. He grabbed his hand but he tried to pull away.

"Stop it, I am trying to get this, I will take this watch, as payment," Seung-ho said.

"What is your name?" Chi Chengzhou asked.

"My name?" Seung-ho asked.

"Yes."

"I will tell you my name, it is Zack John," Seung-ho said he speed off without looking back he no fool he will never give a stranger his name he would be an idiot.

Chi Chengzhou stood in the gas station and rolls of luxurious cars all pulled in together even motorcycles and all of the men and woman knelt down.

"Boss we are sorry we could not protect you."
