Chapter 11 - chapter 11

~Azazel~

I was walking around in the woods in this meat suit, and then I saw Estella's little human friend.

'I bet she'll taste delicious. I looked down at her, and she looked frightened, so I smirked and stalked over to her.

We were only inches apart when I said, "You know too much, little girl." She looked at me, confused.

"What are you talking about, Everest?" she asked. I sighed, frustrated.

"You know exactly what I'm saying, Cass," I mocked her. "I'm not Everest. He's a pathetic excuse for a human. I am Azazel, the demon of chaos. And now that you know that I must kill you. Too bad for you, I will immensely enjoy your death and the destruction that comes with it."

I pulled out a dagger and plunged it through her little human heart. Her body hit the ground with a loud thud, and I smirked, satisfied. I licked the blood off the dagger and started walking back to the school, relishing in the taste of innocent human blood. Once I got there, I told Asher and Estella separately so that they could find Cassidy's body in the woods faster. I'll come back to clean up the body later. She was a waste of space anyway, and I knew she was the best way to get to Estella. Estella is very important for my transformation and I'd like her close and mentally broken.

~Estella Cole~

Right after Everest told me about Cassidy, I rushed out of the school towards the woods. I started searching as soon as I reached the tree line. After about half an hour, I found her bloody body tangled in the underbrush. I looked away to find Asher standing right there in front of Cassidy with bloody hands.

I start to shake my head, "No, no, no, no, please no. Tell me you didn't kill her."

I started to sob. He looked up at me, horror-stricken, and rushed to explain himself, but I was so filled with rage and sadness that I didn't listen. I stalked closer to him.

"How could you?! She was the only family I had left, and you killed her! My best friend! She's gone." I fell to the ground sobbing. 'How could he? I can't believe he could hurt me like this. I can't believe I fell for him. Everything I thought I saw in him was a twisted lie.' Suddenly, I heard the ancient bells ringing, signaling that the royal family had arrived. Asher kept staring at Cass's body, and I screamed at him.

"Get out of here! You don't deserve to feel sorry for yourself, you killed her!"

He looked at me with an apologetic expression. He said the worst thing I could hear at the moment, because in the back of my mind, I knew he was right. "It wasn't me, Estella. I would never hurt you like that. I love you more than life. Please believe me, eventually. I don't think I could live with myself if you believed your whole life that I killed your best friend." I screamed again, "then go ahead and die! Stay away from me, I don't love you." The coated lies fractured my heart leaving me more broken with each word. Power shot out of me from all sides, and it hit Asher as hard as it could. He slammed against a near tree and he fell to the ground with a hard thunk, it made my stomach twist. I gathered Cassidy's lifeless body in my arms and let out a pain-filled cry. She's really gone, I'll never see her smile or hear her voice. I bowed my head.

Snap

A twig snapped, and I wiped my tears fast, hearing someone walk up behind me. I turned to see a tall woman walking up, it was too dark to see much of her but by the feel of her presence I knew who it was. I sagged in relief and sighed. "Mabel. You startled me."
