Chapter 6 - at the entrance to the objective

The objective was set, and it was time for us to head to where everything began for me and Raysley. Each of the knights was maintaining their magnificent weapons, which reflected the first rays of the sun on my face, almost as if mocking the piece of carved trartos shell I was dragging along. To be honest, I was very jealous.

Raysley moved closer to me as if she sensed my distress, which only made me feel worse. But I swallowed it.

Once everyone was ready, it was time to go. The remaining provisions were packed and placed in an enormous bag carried by Rayzo. I was curious to know what was inside.

Nico: <>

He turned calmly in my direction and said nothing. Thinking back, Rayzo was a very mysterious person; he almost never removed his helmet. He even ate and slept with it on.

Raysley had gotten into the habit of holding my hand to move forward safely. But I had to admit, I wasn't a very good guide. My walking pace was too fast, and Raysley really wasn't adapted to it.

<>

Raysley: <>

Once again, everyone burst out laughing at my expense. It was very embarrassing. Rayzo stopped for a moment, turned around, and walked back toward us. I was a bit surprised at first, but as he got closer, I felt smaller and smaller—he seemed to be two meters tall. But I knew he was a good person. He signaled for me to hand Raysley over to him.

<>

He simply nodded.

Raysley: <>

Nico: <>

She just smiled, as angelic as ever.

<>

Rayzo crouched down to carry Raysley on his back while I guided him on where to place his feet. All of this, of course, under the watchful eyes of the other three, who had stopped to observe us.

If there was one thing I could be impressed by, it was Rayzo's remarkable strength. He could carry hundreds of kilograms without difficulty.

We had finally arrived after a few minutes of walking. Yesterday, the trartos, in its flight, had cleared the path quite a bit, making our journey easier. The problem...

<>

The trartos had undeniably passed through the structure during its escape. Yet, the structure hadn't received a single scratch. It was still there, and we could clearly see the traces of the trartos's passage.

Estris: <>

Karla: <>

Hiyro: <>

She smiled slightly and went to analyze the structure where Raysley and I had appeared.

On her hand, you could see a phantom red light that left faint traces wherever she moved, fading away the next second. She repeated this motion several times in different parts of the structure.

Meanwhile, we non-mages were seated, observing carefully what she was doing. She seemed ridiculously serious, but I was bored to death, so I decided to take out my phone. Hiyro, who had been waiting for this moment, peered over my shoulder and asked all kinds of questions.

Hiyro: <>

Nico: <>

Hiyro: <>

Nico: <>

While I was checking how much battery I had left, he didn't leave my side. I still had 60% battery... That was something.

Estris: <>

Nico: <>

At that moment, I realized something. I stood up hastily to join Karla.

Hiyro: <>

Nico: <>

I ran as fast as I could toward the center of the structure.

Karla: <>

Nico: <>

I searched for the center on the ground, and then I remembered.

Yesterday, when we were teleported to this world, I had briefly examined the structure and observed a spherical-shaped space.

<>

<>

Once she placed her hand there, she was repelled. It was clearly something unusual.

<>

<>

The others approached us to find out what was happening. They, too, had a feeling that something was changing.

Hiyro: <>

Karla: <>

Karla explained our current situation to them.

Estris: <>

Nico: <>

Karla: <>

During the discussion, Raysley also spoke up. We were so focused on me that we almost forgot that Raysley had also been transmigrated just like me.

<>

We all turned toward her with such gratitude. Karla rushed over to hug her.

<>

<>

It was good that Raysley also had her sphere, but it reinforced the idea that the sphere in question was indeed linked to the transmigration. And if I had lost mine, then they most likely wouldn't be able to return.

Estris: <>

Karla: <>

Raysley: <>

She took a necklace from around her neck, and it was exactly the same sphere the old woman had given me. They were identical, with the only difference being that it was attached to a golden chain.

<>

<>

According to Raysley, her birthday was yesterday, and her older brother had given her what seemed to be a valuable piece of jewelry.

Karla: <>

Raysley: <<19 years old.>>

Hiyro: <>

Estris: <>

Karla: <>

Nico: <>

Karla: <>

Raysley gave her necklace to Karla so she could cast the spell. Apparently, the spell in question allowed for tracing the same type of energy. Since the two spheres were of the same nature, it would be possible to use one to locate the other. This was a procedure used in the mining field to analyze different materials present at mining sites to determine if it was worth the effort. It was called [Resemblance].

No one made a sound. Karla was very concentrated and seemed unshakeable. Quickly, halos of starlight floated everywhere in the air before connecting to me.

Hiyro: <>

Nico: <>

Karla: <>

Estris: <>

I must admit the situation was bizarre, but it reassured me greatly to know that I couldn't lose the only object that might allow me to return. But why did I want to return so badly?

Karla: <>

She approached the center and placed Raysley's sphere inside. It fit perfectly.

<>

For a good while, nothing happened. Everyone began to doubt—after all, it was only a supposition.
