Chapter 21 - Chapter 11 — The Pieces of Eden from Assassin’s Creed

After settling Snow's family of five eagles, Shaun Cole returned to the first-floor hall and took a small notebook out of his robes.

This notebook had been given to him by the Ancient One. Inside were records of Earth's known empowered individuals discovered over the years—their names, abilities, and locations.

Sitting down, Shaun Cole opened the notebook and began to read.

The first entry that caught his eye read:

Logan Howlett (Codename: Wolverine)

Born: 1832, Canada

Abilities: Rapid regeneration, slowed aging, retractable claws

Threat Level: Medium

Hazard Level: Low

Looking at the entry, Shaun Cole sighed with emotion.

If this guy became an Assassin, he wouldn't even need Hidden Blades…

He closed the notebook.

Suddenly, Shaun Cole realized that the information inside was of little real use to him.

Based on what he remembered from his previous life, the strongest beings on Earth at present were the Ancient One and Kaecilius.

Beyond Earth, there was Odin of Asgard.

Somewhere in the depths of space lurked Thanos.

There was also Ego, the Celestial and Star-Lord's father.

And Odin's firstborn—the Goddess of Death, Hela.

Any one of them could destroy planets at will.

But to Shaun Cole—who possessed all the Pieces of Eden—they were not truly terrifying.

He mentally reviewed the artifacts he owned:

The Apple of Eden + The Staff of Eden

When combined, they could control thoughts and physical actions of living beings, as well as create large-scale illusions.

The Sword of Eden

An ancient weapon capable of destroying anything. Grants the wielder a war-god-like state.

Special ability: Wrath of the War God — instantly annihilates a thousand enemies.

The Holy Grail

Grants true immortality.

The Shroud of Eden

Can temporarily resurrect the dead and cure any disease.

The Crystal Skull

By adding blood, it allows observation of the blood owner's movements via holographic projection.

The Spear of Destiny

The lance that killed Jesus. Makes its wielder immune to death—but if lost, the owner dies instantly.

The Philosopher's Stone

Transforms anything it touches into gold.

Anti-Isu Metal

Renders firearms and similar weapons ineffective.

All of these were Assassin's Creed artifacts—and Shaun Cole had collected every single one.

With these in his possession, he believed that the only being in the universe who might rival him was Dormammu, the Lord of the Dark Dimension.

But in his memories—whether in the comics or the films—Dormammu had been defeated by the Ancient One, and later trapped in a time loop by Doctor Strange.

There was a clear difference between the comic universe and the cinematic universe.

And now Shaun Cole was certain—

This was the cinematic universe.

After all, in the comics, the Ancient One was an elderly white-haired man. In the films, she was a bald woman.

At that thought, Shaun Cole suddenly realized something.

He had been calling her "Master Nun" all this time.

Turns out… he'd been wrong.

Next time, he should probably call her a Sorcerer.

"Why not… build a Brotherhood in this Marvel world?"
