"Fortune"
A young boy touched Berryanna's dress, holding a rusted can. Both girls turned to him after hearing his voice.
"What do you want?" Berryanna said.
"A coin for a fortune."
"Whoa, I love this one too. Girlfriend, coin," Straw said as Berryanna gave her a coin. She put it inside the can and smiled.
The coin dropped with a hollow cling.
"Tell me her fortune. Will she ever fall head over heels for me?" Straw said, smiling.
The boy tilted his head, studying Berryanna instead of Straw.
"Is that what you want to hear? But it has already happened," the boy said.
Straw blinked once. Twice. Then again. Her mouth slowly opened. She looked at Berryanna. Berryanna's fingers tightened slightly at her side.
"He is a child. After your money, what does he know?" Berryanna said, even if there was a bit of redness on her face as she tried to hide her blushing.
Straw stepped closer.
"Really? Then why is your face all lit up, darling?" Straw said, touching her cheeks.
