Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 - The Sense of Urgency in Ur's Heart!

In the blink of an eye, two days passed.

The moment Ide opened his eyes, he saw Ur sleeping spread-eagled, completely oblivious to the world. He let out a soft sigh, gently placed the soundly sleeping Ur back onto the bed, and opened his system panel.

Current Total Magic Power: 88

Indeed, over the past two days, Ide had maintained high-intensity time management. He kept a schedule of twelve hours of deep cultivation, eight hours of sleep, one and a half hours for preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for Ur, and half an hour for washing up, refusing any wasted time.

Thus, Ide could obtain thirty-four points of Magic Power every day.

In two days, that was sixty-eight points, which, added to his previous twenty points, brought him to the current eighty-eight.

"Only twelve points left until I hit one hundred."

"After preparing breakfast for Ur, I'll make the final push."

After glancing at his attribute panel, Ide swiftly dashed toward the mountain.

Aside from the first time he climbed the mountain—where he wasted time being unfamiliar with the snowy terrain—Ide could now use his three colors of Haki to ensure that hunting and cooking were all finished within half an hour.

Furthermore, Ide would prepare the ingredients for lunch and dinner in the morning.

"Mmm."

By the time Ur woke up, Ide had already prepared the food and was already outside practicing.

"Thanks, Ide."

After calling out a word of thanks, Ur sat inside the house and began to enjoy her breakfast.

"This is so delicious!"

"Much better than what I make."

"I feel like if this continues, I'm going to be spoiled rotten by Ide."

As Ur took small bites of her meal, she watched Ide through the window as he cultivated diligently. After thinking for a while, she said seriously, "I should head to town today! I'll sell the magical beast hides Ide hunted, then buy some daily necessities and food! I have to do what I can; I can't let Ide spoil me until I'm useless."

"Ide, I'm heading out."

With that thought, she quickly finished her breakfast, put the dishes in the sink, shouldered the hides Ide had processed, and ran toward the town. As she ran, she called out, "Ide, I'll bring back something tasty for you today!"

"..."

Ide, who had already entered his cultivation state, did not respond.

However, Ur was used to Ide's constant meditation and didn't say anything more.

In town.

"Tsk."

"Such good magical beast hides, and he only gave me 8,000 Jewels. Uncle Jack is a complete profiteer."

"If I took these to a larger city, they could probably sell for more than ten times that."

Ur emerged from the leather shop in town, counting the 8,000 Jewels in her hand with a sour expression.

"Forget it."

"It's better than nothing."

"I need to buy bread, cream, chocolate, vegetables, and fruit."

Carrying her "fortune" of 8,000 Jewels, Ur pondered what she should buy.

Although the town's income was not high, the cost of living was relatively low.

"Ur, where have you been these past two days?"

"Why haven't you come by to chat with me?"

Just as Ur was passing Susan's fruit shop, the sharp-eyed Susan noticed Ur's radiant face and greeted her with a smile.

"Oh, Susan?"

"I was just about to buy some fruit from you."

"Remember to give me a discount."

Ur looked at Susan in the fruit shop and laughed.

"My, my, Ur."

"Is it different now that you have a man?"

"That glowing face... it's clear you've been getting plenty of 'nourishment' lately."

Susan glanced at Ur and immediately began to tease her.

"Huh?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I haven't done anything!"

"If you keep talking nonsense, watch out or I'll wreck your shop."

Ur's cheeks flushed deep red again as she glared at Susan and issued a "threat."

"Pffft."

"Just a joke."

"But seriously, Ur, you should consider finding a partner. I think Ide is quite good."

Susan teased Ur playfully.

Indeed, teasing a "maiden" was always entertaining.

"True."

To Susan's surprise, Ur didn't argue. Instead, she nodded repeatedly.

"Eh?"

"No way?"

"It actually happened?"

Susan looked at the dazed Ur, seemingly realizing something, and spoke in disbelief.

"What actually happened?"

Ur looked up at Susan and asked.

"Nothing."

Susan shook her head, trying to play it off.

But on second thought, it didn't seem wrong.

Ide and Ur were a handsome man and a beautiful woman living alone under one roof. If nothing happened, that would be even weirder, wouldn't it?

"Give me some oranges, apples, and strawberries."

Fortunately, Ur didn't mind. She was quickly drawn to the fresh fruit in Susan's shop.

On the other side.

In front of Ur's wooden cabin.

"Phew!"

"It's done!"

After six hours of hard cultivation, Ide finally gathered one hundred Magic Power points.

"My current strength comes entirely from my own hard work."

"System, add points!"

Once Ide gathered the Magic Power, he did not hesitate to dump all one hundred points into the Ice-Make Magic column.

Boom!

As Ide added the points, he felt a surge of cold air erupt from within his body. An Ice-Make Magic circle immediately bloomed before him like a flower.

At the same time, Ide's system panel updated as follows:

Magic Origin:

First Magic Origin:

Under Deep Meditation: Gain 1 Magic Power point every 10 minutes.

In Sleep State: Gain 1 Magic Power point every 20 minutes.

Current Total Magic Power: 0

Magic:

Ice-Make Magic: LV2 (+)

"Excellent!"

"Ice-Make: Continuous Lances!"

After Ide broke through, he immediately assumed the Ice-Make Magic stance, releasing four or five ice spears that pierced through the trunks of nearby large trees.

Thud.

At the exact moment Ide was testing the improvement his breakthrough brought, Ur, who had just returned with the food, saw the scene. Her expression turned to one of disbelief as she let the fruit in her arms fall onto the snow. She whispered, "Ide broke through again? How much time has passed?"

Now, even without considering Haki and swordsmanship, Ide's magic alone had reached a level where he could join a Wizard Guild.

In other words, it took Ide less than three days to go from a complete novice who knew nothing about magic to a formal Wizard.

This caused a sense of urgency to rise deep within Ur's heart.

"With Ide's current cultivation speed, it's only a matter of time before he surpasses me. When that happens, what reason will he have to stay in this small town?"

Ur couldn't help but think this in her heart.

"It seems I need to hurry up and work hard on my cultivation too!"

"I absolutely cannot let Ide catch up to my footsteps so easily."

Ur picked up the fruit from the ground, her eyes reflecting seriousness and determination.
