Chapter 20 - Chapter 4-5

Jazik watched the limousine disappear into the swirl of Parisian traffic, its black gloss reflecting the bright storefronts. A strange mix of apprehension and determination settled within him. I can't let this threat go unanswered. Not again.

He parked the motorcycle down the street, the sleek machine looking almost garish against the backdrop of quaint cafes and flower stalls. Slipping into the narrow alley beside the Grand Paris Hotel felt like stepping into another world. The air cooled, the sounds of the city fading into a muted hum. The alley was a shadowed space that offered a modicum of privacy.

He ate the Poppingummy Gochizo, and the familiar surge of power washed over him. The transformation began. Time to do what must be done.

[GUMMY!]

[EAT GUMMY! EAT GUMMY!]

[EAT GUMMY! EAT GUMMY!]

"Henshin!"

[POPPINGUMMY! JUICY!]

Clad in vibrant blue and magenta armor, Kamen Rider Gavv now surveyed the hotel's imposing facade. Gavv pressed his hands against the cool stone, testing its texture. He scaled the side of the building, finding purchase amongst the ornate architectural details with almost inhuman ease. Each movement was precise, economical. No wasted effort.

He reached the highest floors, the city spread out beneath him like a glittering tapestry. She would likely want the best suite. He kept himself hidden amongst the ornate architectural details, a silent guardian amidst the city's splendor.

Gavv found a vantage point on the highest floor, peering through a large window into one of the hotel's opulent suites. Inside, Chloé twirled a yo-yo, its red cord tangling around her arm with an audible thwack. She wore a Ladybug costume, startlingly well-made, mimicking the real hero's spots and mask with an almost perfect likeness. Yet, the genuine Ladybug moved with effortless grace, her movements fluid and decisive, a true dancer in combat. Chloé, in contrast, stumbled, catching her reflection with a pout of annoyance, then resumed a stiff, unnatural pose. Her expression was one of self-satisfied arrogance, a far cry from the determined focus Gavv had witnessed on the true Ladybug's face. It was undeniably a clumsy imitation.

Chloé's phone, resting on a nearby table, suddenly vibrated with a bright pink glow. She snatched it, startled, then threw it across the room as if it had burned her.

Lady Wifi materialized from the phone's glowing screen. Her black suit, adorned with a stark white Wi-Fi symbol, stood in sharp contrast to Chloé's disheveled Ladybug costume. The villain surveyed the room with an almost theatrical disdain.

"Well, hello there, Ladybug!" Lady Wifi sneered, her voice carrying a digital edge.

Chloé stumbled, attempting to run, but a pink pause icon shot from Lady Wifi's hand. It encased Chloé in an invisible barrier, freezing her mid-stride.

CLANG

Lady Wifi raised her cell phone, its screen projecting a live feed across the suite. Her own masked face, sharp and determined, stared out at the city.

"Everyone thinks the girl beneath the Ladybug costume is a little angel. Think again, people! The real Ladybug is…" Lady Wifi declared. With a dramatic flourish, she tore the flimsy mask from Chloé's face. "…Chloé Bourgeois, everyone!"

Suddenly, the real Ladybug and Cat Noir burst through the window, their entrance a whirlwind of motion and purpose. Their arrival disrupted Lady Wifi's triumphant moment, the projected image flickering.

"Who are you?" Lady Wifi demanded, her voice laced with genuine confusion, turning her attention from the frozen Chloé.

Cat Noir, ever the showman, struck a dramatic pose, a wide grin splitting his face.

"Uhhh…" Cat Noir said, stretching the sound with a playful nonchalance.

Lady Wifi looked back at the frozen Chloé, her own pose faltering for a beat.

"But I thought you were Ladybug!" Lady Wifi's voice held a genuine sting of confusion, a reporter's frustration at a botched scoop.

Cat Noir chuckled, a light, carefree sound that bounced off the opulent walls.

"Sorry to bust your news story, my lady," Cat Noir said, his green eyes sparkling with mischievous delight. "Next time, double-check your facts before you go live."

Lady Wifi's face hardened, the glow of her Wi-Fi icon pulsing with an almost visible surge of anger. The insult clearly found its mark.

"You'll be sorry for that," Lady Wifi hissed, her voice laced with venomous promise. A swift swipe of her phone deleted the pink pause icon, and Chloé stumbled forward, promptly tripping over her own feet to land in an undignified heap.

Ladybug stepped forward, a soft concern touching her features.

"Alya?" Ladybug asked, her voice quiet with recognition.

Lady Wifi ignored her, the anger solidifying into a cold, determined resolve.

"Alya's been disconnected," Lady Wifi declared, her voice now sharp and devoid of warmth. "I'm Lady Wifi, and news flash, Ladybug, let's find out who you really are!"

Ladybug knew they had to move fast. She shouted to her partner, her voice firm.

"Follow me!" Ladybug commanded,

They ran through the door and down the hallway. Lady Wifi is hot on their tail.

"So what's the plan, Bugaboo?" Cat Noir asked, his tone still playful, though a focused edge now sharpened his words.

"She gets her powers from her phone, so let's lead her to the basement, where there isn't any service!" Ladybug replied, her gaze already fixed on a distant building.

Cat Noir grinned, his eyes sparkling with renewed excitement. "No service, no power. Nice one, my lady!"

"No service, huh?" Gavv mused, his voice a low rumble.

He looked up at the hotel's roof. A large signal receiver stood prominently there, a clear target. Gavv summoned his Gavvgablade, the weapon appearing with a CLANG as it materialized in his hand. He leaped, propelling himself upwards with surprising force, the metal of the Gavvgablade slicing through the air. The antenna shattered under the precision strike, sending sparks flying across the rooftop.

Lady Wifi gasped, her digital display flickering as her connection vanished. The vibrant pink of her powers dulled, and a look of genuine alarm crossed her masked face.

Gavv landed silently between Ladybug and Cat Noir and Lady Wifi, his presence startling them all. He held the Gavvgablade casually, the weapon gleaming.

"Your signal is gone," Gavv stated, his voice calm, almost apologetic. "I destroyed the antenna on the roof. Your powers will not work here."

He extended a hand toward Lady Wifi, his movements slow and deliberate.

"Give me the phone, please," Gavv said. "I do not wish to hurt Alya."

Lady Wifi glared, her eyes burning with defiance.

"Never!" Lady Wifi spat, her voice regaining a fraction of its former force, though tinged with frustration. "I will expose Ladybug. And since you are here, I will expose you too, Kamen Rider!"

Gavv glanced over Lady Wifi's shoulder, a subtle shift in his golden-yellow eyes. His Gochizos were busy behind her on a small table. They had found one of Chloé's pink scrunchies from her discarded bag and were meticulously fashioning it into a tiny slingshot. His Zakuzakuchips Gochizo was already loaded and ready.

Gavv turned back to Lady Wifi, offering a small, distracting gesture with his free hand.

"It is a nice phone," Gavv said, his voice quiet. "I can see why you would not want to part with it." He gave a subtle nod in the direction of his Gochizos,

"Now!" Gavv commanded, his voice a low, almost imperceptible murmur.

Lady Wifi, caught off guard by the unexpected command, barely registered the tiny THWIP sound.

The Gochizos launched their makeshift projectile. The Zakuzakuchips Gochizo zipped through the air.

THWACK

The chip struck Lady Wifi's phone with a sharp CRACK, sending it skittering across the polished floor. Before Lady Wifi could react, Gavv moved. His Gavvgablade flashed through the air. The weapon neatly sliced the phone in half.

The akuma, a black butterfly, fluttered out of the shattered device. Gavv's Gavv organ opened, his tongue extending with impossible speed. The dark butterfly vanished inside, purified.

Alya blinked, her masked face replaced by her normal features. She looked around the opulent suite, utterly bewildered.

"What happened?" Alya asked, her voice soft and confused, as if waking from a strange dream.

Ladybug stepped forward, her expression warm.

"Thank you, Kamen Rider," Ladybug said, a genuine appreciation coloring her voice. "We really needed that assist."

Cat Noir nodded, a playful glint in his green eyes.

"Yeah, you've been stealing the spotlight lately, haven't you, Sugar Cube?" Cat Noir said, a soft chuckle escaping him. "Where did you even come from?"

"I was nearby," Gavv replied, his voice a low, steady rumble. "I was watching."

"Well, you certainly saw your chance to make a grand entrance," Ladybug said. "When you said your powers wouldn't work here, I suddenly understood."

"I destroyed the antenna on the roof," Gavv stated, his voice calm. "That removes the signal."

"I should have thought of that," Ladybug mused, a hint of frustration in her tone. "Thank you for doing it. Lady Wifi would have been much harder to defeat if you hadn't."

The shattered phone lay in pieces, akuma purified. A tiny Gochizo, the Zakuzakuchips, zipped around Gavv's helmet. It looked quite pleased with itself, a tiny victor.

"What are those little creatures?" Ladybug asked, her voice soft with genuine curiosity. Her gaze followed the Gochizo as it zipped through the air.

"They are my servants," Gavv replied, his voice a low, steady rumble. He watched the Gochizo, a hint of something warm in his eyes.

"They're cute," Ladybug said, a smile softening her masked face. "Do they have names?"

"No…"

Ladybug reached out a hand, and the Zakuzakuchips Gochizo landed gently on her palm. (っ˘ڡ˘ς) ! It almost seemed to blush a faint orange under her careful gaze.

Alya, now fully aware, looked from Ladybug to Cat Noir, then to Gavv, her eyes wide with journalistic hunger. She reached for her pocket, a flicker of disappointment crossing her face when she realized her phone was gone.

"My phone is broken," Alya said, a mournful note in her voice. "I cannot record this."

Gavv simply turned, leaving the opulent suite without another word. A quiet flash of light marked his de-transformation just beyond their sight. Ladybug and Cat Noir exchanged a brief look, then followed, disappearing through the window, their forms blurring against the Parisian skyline.
